...please stop killing this thread and desist from stereotyping, personal abuse and ill-focussed drivel and let's get back to considered and reasoned discussion about the pros and cons of Brexit.
Just don't let it happen again.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
Aaron Banks and Leave.EU exonerated by the NCA. Another Remoaner trope bites the dust.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0

That isn't exactly what they said, they said they "found no evidence". That isn't the same as exonerating someone. Aaron Banks already admitted to lying anyway. What they investigated looks dodgy & it's only the lack of evidence that they can't bring charges.
Supreme court result is unexpected. John Bercow is back. Ord-er0 -
Supreme court result is unexpected.
Whether you support Brexit or Remain you should welcome the verdict.0 -
Not that unexpected. If they had ruled in favour of the government it would be saying the PM is free to do it whenever he wants for as long as he wants.
Well I thought they would argue that it was justiciable in general.
However I thought they may also either come on the side of the PM or find a fudge that would bring parliament back for enough days for them to override it.
That they cut through the decision unanimously is not what I expected & I don't think many people did on either side.Whether you support Brexit or Remain you should welcome the verdict.
I don't see that happening though.0 -
No problem with the Supreme Court’s decision, only problem is the return of the zombie Parliament! My mental health had improved greatly without those loons wittering on.
We need a GE, whatever side of the argument you’re on, it’s time to pass judgment on our MP’s.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Parliament could get rid of the fixed term parliament act and then we could force Boris to be PM for the next 50 years, doing the bidding of parliament.0 -

Is that what date the smart money is on?
Can’t come quick enough.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
We need a GE
We had one. Back in June 2017.
It post-dated the 2016 referendum and...was legally binding.
The populace elected a hung parliament, which requires compromise. (i.e. a soft brexit)
But as soon as someone says 'soft brexit' the extremists starts bleating betrayal. Hey ho.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0
