If you transposed "The UK" for "Germany" in the above quote, remoaners would be out in their droves celebrating the decline of our country. As it's the German economy, they will ignore it.

I don't think anyone is out in droves on this forum. You had to log out and in again to post this.

Trouble is. Germany is a major market for the UK in Europe. The global slowdown seems almost envitable. Result maybe even more protectionism.

Remoaners predicting riot in the street if No Deal Brexit happens.

    Riots happening in France!

Italian politicians meeting yellow jackets. French ambassador recalled. Getting tense......

Seems as dirty laundry is now being aired in public.

Why do you think we'd be celebrating? We voted for prosperity, it's the leavers that voted for decline. Loads of leavers said they didn't care whether they'd be financially worse off, as long as we were no longer being "controlled" by Europe.

Europes problems will be compounded if the UK slows.

The Japanese deal with the EU has come at the wrong time for leavers, but the right time for the EU.

Not only do we not get the advantage of the Japanese deal, but they've more than made up for our trade. It's a double whammy for leavers.

I can see him getting an honorary knighthood once the leave lies are uncovered.

Remainers predicted UK would in deep trouble because of Brexit.

Now Italy and Germany in recession. :D

It's a good job they are part of a union that helps make sure all their members stay afloat. If only we'd thought of that. BTW we are in deep trouble. First the 2008 financial crisis and then as soon as we were recovering, bam the 2016 referendum vote.

The reduction in tariffs with Japan will be phased in over 8 years. No existential panic for the UK there then.

Interesting view about Tusk, whose name I specifically mentioned in the context of his 'hell' comment.

    Quite correct.
When Britain leaves the EU duty on British made cars going to the EU will be higher than the duty on Japanese produced cars going to the EU (2020) and then the gap will just get bigger.

By the way didn’t you recognise in your post that you explained partially how trade deals normally work.
They are NOT an instant fix.
Just wait until the trade talks start between the EU and Britain.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Those of us who have ever had to sell something to someone would never believe it was a good thing our best customer was in recession let alone be amused by it.

You voted for the status quo. Seeing as we've been in austerity measures for some time, where is this "prosperity" that the EU gives us?

Why do we need another layer of government above our own, one which can over-rule the UK parliament, and on over which we have little influence?

The thing is there was supposed to be (according to the Remoaners) clear water between a Brexit blighted U.K. and an EU area that was supposed to power on without us.

That was always fantasy IMO, like so much of the Remain/Project Fear nonsense that we hear, the UK leaving the EU is a massive blow to the EU, hence the little outbursts and public remarks more suited to children than leaders that we will be hearing more and more no doubt.
