As ours has failed, it's now time for the EU to impose a technocratic government, as they did with Italy and Greece one day.

    Verhofstadt for PM!

Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

I'd settle for Danny Dyer. The most important qualification he has is that he doesn't want to be PM.

So if Macron vetoes the extension what next?

    1. We leave on March 29th
    2. Revoke Article 50
    3. Extension requested with caveats ie GE or another referendum.

    Anything else?

A march in support of a Final Say second referendum takes place on in central London on Saturday and is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of protesters. Meanwhile a “Leave means Leave” protest, also known as the “Brexit betrayal march” is underway with tens of Brexit supporters walking for twoweeks from Sunderland to London demanding the UK leaves the EU on 29 March.

Tens of Brexit supporters? :( I trust Boris and Nige are there.

Macron says "non" but even now the EU are trying to bribe the UK by saying they'll grant a short delay if the UK accepts the deal!
    Well, no thanks.
No deal is the better option.

It's interesting that the poll forecasts are remarkably similar to those from before the referendum.
    ;)
    Remain Vs No deal

    Remain: 57%

    No deal: 43%

There won't be another referendum but IMHO polls like that one are likely to be even more out than before the ones before the referendum.
Look around you; too many remainers are dissatisfied with the obvious way that others have tried to overturn the result.
"Leave" would win by an increased majority.

The poll suggests otherwise, you're suggesting that people would cut their nose off to spite their face. Choosing a worse option because they are angry about how things have been handled so far. If you're right then it's a sign that the UK is about to collapse. I suspect you think this because of your own anger.

My experience is that most men have stuck with their initial choice, although I met one man recently who wished he'd voted remain. Apparently a lot of women have switched from leave to remain.

However I don't think we're going to get a chance at democratically deciding it, my current guess is we're going to fall out without a deal or a parachute. Brexit headbangers are preparing to blame the EU.

As I said earlier, the polls before the referendum were wrong too; pretty much all of them. ;)
    No noses will be amputated.
    There's no need.
The EU have very nicely shown the world (again) what a bunch of nasty little dictator-types they really are and people - well, apart from some hardline Remain headbangers (to use your own terminology) - aren't blind to that.

I'm not angry & I have no idea why you would suggest that I am or that I think the UK will collapse.
    You're reading what doesn't exist.
No, what I am is highly amused.
Most frequently by the ranting of a few remain extremists and their fanciful imaginations.

Good for you and your experiences though.
I must get out more than you because the number of people that have commented in my earshot that they just want it over has been phenomenal, and all the signs I've seen very strongly suggest that the mood has changed.
Even remain voters are openly saying that they would now vote leave if given the choice again and the reason I hear most frequently is because of the continual deceptions of remainers and the EU's attitude.
Yes some have stuck with their original choice.
In my experience (yes this is anecdotal) that is mostly true of leavers.
But read the comments in a wide variety of places.
Listen to what's being said, not just on TV or the radio but around you too.
As I said, apart from a few hardliners on either side the mood has changed, definitely more in favour of leaving the EU regardless.

Despite what you (or others) imagine my stance to be, I'm not a hardline leaver.
I do happen to think though that the whole thing has not only been handled badly but that it has had far too much input from people that wanted to remain.
IMHO we should have presented Article 50 with a clear message; we are off & if you seriously want a deal make proposals.

Still, all's well etc. as they say.
Because as you accept, it looks like the thoughts of any of us will be proven irrelevant as we leave with no deal.
(It's not a "fall" or a "crash" or any other fear-inspired event BTW.)
I find it absolutely hilarious that the desperate attempts of those few who are determined to keep us tied to the EU look like causing what hardline Brexiters wanted all along - a no-deal Brexit!
