Gas meter

in Water bills
Smart meter fitted last January. I noticed that it did not appear to be reading and informed energy company in April. Got a reply that they assured me it was working. I now have a request to have meter replaced and that a bill will be generated using historical readings. We have been using a log burner mostly for heating and spent February and March abroad last year. Don’t expect free gas but how can a fair usage be estimated and what are my rights.

They will look at what you have used in the past and bill you as said But why are they changing it now if you said it was not working in april last year?
You might get more informed replies by asking for you post to be moved from the water bills forum to the energy forum? The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
