    Good morning all,

I'm still coughing and wheezy but apart from that I feel OK. I think I did a bit too much yesterday. I had to have a sit down half way through the freezer inventory as I felt a bit shaky. It's done though - everything is repacked into it properly, I know where everything is and I have a list of the contents. I also binned a few mystery contents of plastic tubs (it was a mystery why I'd kept them) then refilled the tubs with bolognaise and chilli. Of course once I'd made it I didn't want it so I had a poached egg on toast for tea. The HT did have the bolognaise though.

Today's plans are post office to post more plastic treasure then food shopping as I have a sensible list now that I know what is in the freezer. It won't take long because the list is fairly short. The HT needs his stationery drawer topping up as the last pens and pencils, ruler etc left the building yesterday as his exam kit. Goodness only knows what he uses from day to day but I was determined that he took a working pen at least. Actually he is allowed to use a laptop for some exams due to his hypermobility. Writing hurts him as the end joints of his fingers are (according to the consultant) extremely mobile.

Speky thanks for starting us off.

TA enjoy your night out. You'd wonder where they get the energy from wouldn't you?

Take care all of you :)

dumpling, well done on the blood sugars.

AOD, I hope you feel better soon.

Nelski, good luck today, I hope it's stress free.

    Enjoy the panto TA.

We enjoyed yoga yesterday, I think Iyengar yoga is the way to go. The last class I tried had a lot of emphasis on breathing, including trying to breathe through alternate nostrils which I never understood. This is a bit more strenuous which Steve especially appreciates.

While he was feeling well we went to IKEA in the afternoon to get a shelf unit to put my fabric storage boxes on. I have one downstairs already but I've overspilled into one of the bedrooms and need one in there.

Today will be housework this morning and a bit of sewing this afternoon - I want to get the baby quilt finished this week. It's for the people Chris is staying with in Wales, they have been very good to him so he'd like to give them something.

    Morning everyone,

I missed the great tea cake debate yesterday but like others didn’t realise there was a savoury version, I much prefer the toasted / buttered version as the marshmallow ones are far too sweet, love a Tunnock wafer though, especially the dark choc version.
Hope you enjoy your panto TA your de-cluttering mojo will be back am sure.
Tai chi is always something that I’ve fancied trying Scarlet will have a look to see if I can find a local class.

Hugs to all our poorlies and those caring for loved ones, it’s 2 years today since my DM died, seems a lifetime in one way, only like yesterday in another.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, especially Lainey and TA. Dumpling you are doing very well, keep it up. A sweet tooth is my downfall. Although when I think about it food is my downfall :rotfl::rotfl:

Appointment through yesterday for physio on my wrist, have to be there for 10 this morning, they are hoping to combine the two appointments eventually. Picking up my neighbour and taking her into town. I have a shopping list for Aldi, not much needed.

We went into town yesterday. DD2 and I were just settling down when OH walked in, no one turned up for the evergreens, so not sure whats happening there, he has a number to ring to try and find out whats going on.

I saw a nice coat in Edinburgh Woolen Mill, tried it on but it was just a bit too tight and they did not have a bigger one......shame. I will have to start wearing my woollen coat I bought whilst I was in Odiam some 18 years ago!!! My goodness did not think it was that old.

We had liver for supper last night have, two more suppers worth in the freezer, not sure whats tonight, possibly egg and chips. Finished off the crumble from Sunday. so need to sort a dessert of some description, might do ground rice for OH. I hate it.......he loves it. Soup for lunch possibly another days worth will be left, can always put half a stock cube in with some water to make it go a bit further.

Better nights sleep, mind you I was exhausted after a busy morning.

  • LAINEY I can't believe it's two years since you lost your DM. Where does the time go, It doesn't seem more than 12 months ago. Thinking of you today, anniversaries are difficult. x

CSARINA could the EWM get the coat from another branch for you? I've been offered this facility a few times in the big chain clothing stores. x

Morning all! Have to clean the fire after, I've had a fire two days running without cleaning it, the door is a bit dark by the handle. I impressed a friend of OHs yesterday with the lighting of it by blowtorch, he thought it was a great idea...I think I might need another one soon, my father bought himself an all singing and dancing one last year with it's own self lighter, and I admit, it does look nice, but do I really want to spend 30 quid on a blowtorch? Probably not....
Off out this afternoon to the LGFB day to learn how to put make up on. My hair has really started to come back, it's almost a quarter of an inch long [ woop] and my eyebrows are definitely coming back. Not so much the eyelashes. They were growing very thick, curly and patchy coloured, so the bottom would be black, the middle white, then the top black again, and I had about 6 on each eyelid. I plucked them out. I'm going to feel a bit of fraud doing this because I have got hair, I was supposed to go in November but was ill, and this was the next one available.
I can make my DIY list again, feeling better, apart from constant chest pain, but it's not too bad, and I have till next Wednesday when I have to slow down again :)

Hope SMGate goes well Nelski. Good idea re the foil. I had one of those half piri piri chickns early last year in Ikea with OHs mum, we went after my work and there was no way I was finishing it, but I had my trusty takeaway containers from lunch in the car, went and fetched one of those, ceaned it, stuck it in there, OH was happy with his supper :) TA, well, once you've had it, you don't lose it, it's just lurking around waiting for it's next turn...happy viewing later on! well done dumpling, you're doing really well! Thinking of Steve snoozer, hope it goes well next week for you both. OL, maybe a small volunteering job with odd hours is a good idea? You don't have to get one, just say you've got one...but that's me being evil...Hey Holly, Poppy, hope you're both doing well.
Hope Tuesday is a bunch bunch of delights :)

  • I feel a lot better and am having a little tea break before attacking our bedroom. I've cleaned the cooker and the sitting room is clean and tidy, though it won't be once the mess men return.

Beef casserole i e. stew for dinner, must get that started.

Horrible dull day but at least not raining.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Hello all
I had a lie in this morning and didn't wake till 10.10 . We were going to a market town today but if you don't get there earlyish you can't park, so we will stay home.
I want to put in my new clock radio today and as the plug is behind the bed I shall have to get Mr Fix It to pull it forward for me because I'm still not 100% and not up to moving heavy furniture.... yet :rotfl:
Also on the cards today is divide the clean washing into ironing/ non ironing and start to sort my crafting stuff, mainly paper craft items, into keep/ bin / donate to DGD. :D. I really don't know what I have as everything's in a bit of a mess :o, but I know I have too much . I still have an empty scrapbook that I was going to do for us, but first my DM passed away then Mr Fix It got his diagnosis and I didn't even start it :(. That was 5yrs and 4yrs respectively, gosh where has the time gone !
Tea tonight will be cottage pie with a cheesy thatch and hopefully no pudding :naughty: but there is a small portion of plain ice cream if we are desperate.
SilverOldie I am with you in spirit today. I imagine that the conversation will not be easy. Hugs
TA enjoy the panto, hope you have a good day.
Nelski thinking of you today trailing around with your DM. Special hugs for you my friend :A
    Lainey xx

Thinking of our Holly and Poppy as always. I hope you are both ticking along.

Sending healing vibes to all the poorly people and hugs to anyone struggling today.
    Take care all
    nan xx
