Next base footage

Hi my son nextbase was set ro record too fast and when he played back the footage after an Rta it shows the recording like it on fast forward.
Is there any way we can slow the recording down on the pc?

If there is sound, you may have to treat it separately? - just a guess

VLC has speed setting to slow or make things faster

How can it record too fast?

Sounds more like your playing it back at the wrong frame rate.

He shown me the footage on his note pad thing but waiting for him to e mail it to me
Next base said the setting on the dash cam were wrong or something.
Cant get much sense out of my son at the minute as he just snaps at me since the crash
But the police have a copy of the footage also

No device can record too fast as it would start to record the future! It can only record in real time.

Therefore it's a setting on the playback software which needs to be changed to 1x ie, real time.

Recorded at 15 frames per second. Playback at 30 frames per second so a 2 minute clip plays back in just 1 minute.

Playback of a 10 minute journey could be watched in just 5 minutes.

An issue with the player not the recording?

Whats the recording settings? Resolution and FPS? What does the player think the settings are?

I had an issue with VLC on my old Galaxy S4, some clips would not play and some would show a blank screen and whizz through the clip.

with regards the video i have now slowed it down using VLC and then videod it again on my phone then saved it to the PC again
How do i make the video smaller enough so i can email the insurance with it as when itry a get the message file too big

Apparently the dash cam was set to to fast record or something my son says as he emailed Nextbase so now looking in to that also .

Ask the insurance company in which way is best for them?

dropbox is easy. Copying the film to usb is also easy.

VLC also had an export / record mechanism
