  • Oh jeez SSDD23 - sounds like a pain (literally). I really hope they get you in tomorrow as someone seriously needs to have a look at your foot again! Not being able to walk without hobbling is pretty damn serious!

Sorry for your poor sleep :( maybe it's the stress of the foot situ. It sounds scary not knowing what's going on. Good luck tomorrow! Keep us posted x

  • A much better start to the day today! (Minus the bicker with OH this morning over de-icer as mine ran out yesterday but I knew he had some as I bought it, and he knew since last night I would need it but left it to the time I was trying to leave this morning to look for it :rotfl: :rotfl:)

Phoned up the docs, wasn't expecting much luck as I was on hold for quite a long time but they've managed to get me an appointment I can work my lunch break around (2pm) and I'm 95% sure she said it was with an advanced chiropractor so I'm super happy with that!

Dosed myself up all day yesterday with painkillers and feeling a lot better today, thankfully!

Excluding today, 5 more days of work before AUSTRALIA! I really cannot wait, it feels years away sat in work being able to see my breath :rotfl: my nan is treating us to spa pedicures on Saturday as an early birthday present as I am celebrating my birthday out there. I will also give in and do my hair on Saturday as I was holding out for as close to holiday as possible - bye bye roots and grey hair :rotfl:

Much, much more positive day today - but I do need to buy some more de-icer :o

  • Back from the doctors...

First few minutes was being told off as it's ongoing so I should be seeing my regular doctor - I replied with I don't have a clue who that is as I have seen someone different every time I have been here, and I was told I could make a same-day appointment as I am in a lot of pain. Sighhhh.

Asked what my doctor had recommended after my last clear x-ray - informed her that I never heard a peep after my x-ray. She started listing off things I can do to ease the paint - anti-inflammatories, gels, foot supports, told her I had done them all and had seen two sports injury therapists and still none the wiser. Her reassuring response was "That's what happened to me, I was a sports coach and now just can't do it as they can't work out what is wrong"

End result - being referred to physio, so at least 4-6 weeks wait. I'm not sure what they can do differently to the two injury therapists I have seen, but she has assured me it will be different and if that turns out to be a dead end too then the last stop is orthopaedics referral.

I feel very underwhelmed, but at least I won't be paying out money every time someone looks at my foot now.

Oh that’s so underwhelming... I guess you’re heading in the right direction? You shouldn’t need to be arguing with the doctor, what a bloody waste of your time and theirs! It grinds my gears how you get made to feel when you’re unwell and need help. Grr.

Yeah I think I'm slightly further along now, at least now there is a process in place I guess. It's just irritating that I first went to see someone just under a year ago I think. Then saw someone else who assured me I'd be running by the end of 2018, I'd be able to do parkrun in Australia... and I'm still limping along. Ah well, I think I may have to try and find a cheap bike so I can still get in some exercise!

Yes I've quite often thought that my doctor's surgery isn't great. I should really be a patient at the one in the town I now live in, but where I work weekdays in the town I used to live in, it's much easier to be able to nip to an appointment there.

It's Friday at last, I need to buy some birthday cards today and my hair dye so I can do my hair at long last tomorrow!

    Goals for this week:

    - [STRIKE]At least 4 NSD's[/STRIKE] done
    - Write a list of what I need to pack for holiday (I don't pack until the last minute but the list is there so it's quick to do and I don't miss anything!)
    - [STRIKE]Keep the ball rolling with Matched Betting[/STRIKE] made another £20 ish
    - Try a yoga workout (at home)
    - [STRIKE]Chase up rewards for healthy eating panel I did (£5 survey credit & £30 Amazon voucher)[/STRIKE] done
    - [STRIKE]Keep an eye out for Prolific Surveys and User Tests[/STRIKE] done

Not a whole list completed this week, but I've not slept massively well so the evenings have been reserved for chilling :rotfl:
  • Another week is here already, on the home stretch for holiday and I cannot wait!

Stressy household this morning, I suggested to OH last night that I wake up one of his children when I get up at 6 as he never gets up with his alarm, and then throws a strop that he has to rush to get ready. He agreed but neither of us spoke to him about it last night so I wrote it off for this morning... big mistake :rotfl: so it was partially my fault apparently that "mornings are always stressful" "everyone's always rushing around" god forbid OH gets up earlier :rotfl: anyway...

Goals for this week (by Friday):
    - Make a packing list for holiday
    - Pack suitcase and carry on
    - Get all documents printed off and kept together
    - Try yoga
    - Hit my 20 NSD's for the month
    - Keep up with matched betting
    - Keep an eye out for surveys and User Tests

I'm planning to go home tonight and get the list done for packing, mainly as I need to try some stuff on to make sure that it still fits.

Matched betting, a site closed my account before I could use my free bet with them so I need to wait for some money to be cashed out to be able to start with the next website

I'm looking forward to, after holiday, all of these moneymaking things actually making a difference to my debts or savings, at the moment they are just bridging the January gap with petrol and other bits and pieces, so it'll be nice to see it making a difference.
