This excellent offer is with Optimax (if you live near or don't mind travelling to Aberdeen!).
Just at the Aberdeen clinic until 30 November you can have both eyes treated for the price of one.
http://www.optimax.co.uk/Default.aspx?page=6881
Or go to www.optimax.co.uk click on Treatment Costs, then click on Special Offers.
You would need to find out if your aftercare consultations could be done at any of their other clinics if you aren't local to Aberdeen. But Lasik treatment for two eyes for £895 is fantastic.
It is first come first served and you will need to quote the offer reference 'Aberdeen Half Price 03/07'

Doing surgery on your eyes is not something I'd recommend trying to get the cheapest rate for!
Does anyone know if this Optimax is a high quality location for LASIK? Or are they just trying to make money on volume (and perhaps lower quality).0 -
Bargain, i've bought 4 of these. Will keep two of my eyes for myself and sell the other two on Ebay!

Optimax and Ultralase are the two big names in laser eye surgery. My friend recently had her eyes done with Optimax and had the LASIK surgery, she researched both companies beforehand and decided that each offered the same high level of treatment and aftercare.
She did feel though that Ultralase liked to give the impression that cost did equal quality, but decided to go with Optimax because they offered exactly the same but for a lot less.
She said the treatment was excellent, the service was faultless, all aftercare was free, all drops, etc were free and would recommend Optimax to everyone.
I guess the Aberdeen clinic just isn't getting the number of patients expected.0 -

I had both my eyes done by Optimax in Newcastle 3 years ago and only wish i had had it done 10 years earlier..... That way i may not have married the dragon i did:rotfl: . Optimax were great and the after treatment was 1st class.
Look on Ebay, Optimax do sell direct on there anyways. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Laser-Eye-Surgery-Treatment-from-395-or-12-pm-x36mths_W0QQitemZ110191135727QQihZ001QQcategoryZ75084QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem0 -
There is a lot of wording for the eBay surgery but what they are offering is the Epi-LASEK treatment. Epi-LASEK is a slightly different treatment to LASIK with a different level of discomfort and recovery time. I'm not sure if you are saving anything going through eBay as they also quote £395 per eye on their website.
Interestingly though, on the eBay listing they say LASIK surgery for £695.0 -
Optimax is a very good company. I done my research 3yrs ago and I had epi-lasek 2 1/2 yrs ago and wished I had done it sooner like Kyle said. Cost £750 with consultation for both eyes and I was paying monthly interest free for 10 months. £895 for Lasik is a very good price.0

Just come back from having my eyes done, what do you think:-
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.0 -
I'd suggest reading up on the subject before jumping in.Happy chappy0

We paid for our daughter to have both eyes done at Optimax for her 21st Birthday. She has said it's the best birthday present you could wish for. The service and support was excellent and now has fighter pilot vision. By all means don't "Jump in" like any purchase, but we have nothing bad to say about Optimax in Birmingham. Go for it.:jCHEAP IN COST NOT IN STYLE...0
