Help! How to get an CCJ removed that isnt mine

After 13 months of trying I am feeling defeated! Writing to the company myself, Experian doing so, the Court doing so and the Financial Ombudsman have not produced 1 reply! And it seems there is nothing that can be done. This is stopping me releasing equity from my house and causing severe hardship to pay off credit card debts and fund retirement! Help!!

I have followed the advice of Experian and the Court involved, and now the financial ombudsman and have got nowhere! This has nothing to do with me and is causing me considerable problems with finance and costing me a lot of money as I cannot remortgage. It is for £2,500!! What can be done when the company reply to nobody - it is still listed on companies house.

    Advice very welcome.

The CCJ is for someone of same name and same village but it is not mine. Case of mistaken identity. No correspondence ever received by me only discovered it when turned down for equity release. Followed advice of experian and court and have written to company, and so have they, referred it to Financial Ombudsman about 3 months ago and they have not response either. Company still listed at companies house.
  • So you have paid the court for an application to set aside
    £255 being the required fee
  • How do you know it’s not yours?
  • More info needed.

What is the CCJ apparent for? And from who? And why?

The best way to get advice on this forum isn’t to drip feed information.
Write down what has happened as concisely as possible.

What have the financial ombudsman come back to you with?

financial ombudsman saying cannot do anything when company do not reply as they cannot mediate. Its a credit card debt of £2500 not mine and never heard of them.
Thanks for suggestion to ask court to set aside didnt know I could do that.
