I have accidentally put screen wash in AdBlue tank in my Range Rover. Rang RAC and they said that tank needs draining and will cost £275. I am wondering if this is how much would it cost.

It was less then a litter and was diluted with water.

IMHO, having seen this before, you'll cause more damage& cost if you continue to drive it. £275 doesn't sound too bad - likely more at a dealer's labour rates

Can you not suck it out with a big syringe or similar? If you can get the litre out you should be all good.

Aldi are selling Adblue and screenwash at the moment. They look very similar on a pallet next to each other, and I nearly picked up the wrong one.

You would think they would make them strikingly different colours to avoid confusion. :think:

+1 suck it all out with a big syringe then refill tank with fresh AdBlue. Much cheaper than paying £275.

Adblue is over 67% water, some of our less than environmentally friendly truck drivers have been filling their tanks with pour water.
Though the soap content might play a bit of havoc with the injector into the catalyst.

I'd be tempted to try and get what's in there sucked out, most garages carry a Pela type suction pump.
Then top it off with proper Adblue.

The tanks on these hold 15 to 18 litres, so any left will be well diluted.
