Ew, I wouldn't go out on an evening slug hunt for love nor money - there's a *lot* of tiny wildlife in my garden!  Hope you found it, though :)
Poor little TH - happens, though, doesn't it - but its awful when it does, really heart-rending.
And your mate!  That's lovely to get some normality back.  I've cut my own hair for years, but the lockdown cut I gave myself was the worst ever, its **inches** out of whack, I don't know how i got it so wrong,
Anyway, have a good one today.
I did find 'a' slug in the big plant pot so have removed it but not sure if that was the only one so will be keeping an eye on the plants in there that are not decimated :(
I normally have short hair though have had long hair in the past and have never tried cutting my own.  I do still have some hair clippers floating about as I clipped OH's hair for years but I think using those on myself would be a step too far when I'm working via video link  :D

Had my first experience of being in a café in the week, I'd been for a walk with a friend and we decided to finish with a coffee at the local GC which has reopened.  We ended up sitting outside as there was a queue for inside tables and to be honest, despite the precautions in place I didn't find it hugely enjoyable though it was good to see my friend in person as we've just had phone calls over the last few months.
I'm off work this coming week which I'm looking forward to, and hoping to do some decluttering as well as catch up with friends.
I did my end of the month invoices early as it will be August before I'm back at work.  Due to me and others being on annual leave, the invoice that is usually for the most money is only about a third of the normal amount so not sure I'll be putting anything in the savings pots this month as the minimum to deposit in NS & eye is £500  but will see what I can scrape together once everything is paid.   I'm finding myself quite reluctant to spend money and have been enjoying saving and paying down the CCs - not a bad thing I know but those niggling messages about getting the economy restarted are also out there - hopefully 'they' are not relying on me for that 😉
Not much in the way of other money news - £25 pay out from 1poll and Prolific is back up at £15ish.  I'm only doing surveys from those 2 plus the occasional Ugov one.  I'm well fed up answering those 20 minute ones about banks, insurance companies and TV packages etc so I've given up on those.
Weather bit cloudy today but its dry at the moment so am going to make some pesto then do a bit in the garden.

Have started a list of things to be done in my week off and things to do when I'm back at work so I don't forget those!  I'd like to declutter quite a bit of 'stuff' this week via a local facecloth page for free stuff - I think a list will be useful there too.  The weather forecast isn't great for tomorrow so might be a list making day.
I made some pesto before lunch; as well as basil, I added in the stalk of a head of broccoli that family gave me - saw that idea on a 'hate food waste website'.  I'm not a huge broccoli fan so made the rest into soup which works better for me and also it used up some rubbery carrots and sad leeks.
Looked out of the kitchen window when I was cutting up the veg in time to see the cat from 2 doors down leap onto the wall and swipe a wee sparrow  :'( poor wee soul, I did go out in case I might be able to rescue it but she disappeared with the bird when she saw me coming.  Felt upset about that - its a thing I don't like about cats and a collar with a bell gives the wildlife a chance at least.  Big old furry boy rarely lifted his head to look at birds even when he was lying in the garden.
Going to watch 'escape to the chateau' before bed - my guilty pleasure lol

I liked "facecloth" too :) Sorry to hear about the sparrow - very occasionally, I go out to my garden and find a couple of square feet are covered with pigeon feathers - it *might* be a cat, but there aren't many big cats round here, its more likely a fox, of which there are *many*.

Hello Teapot! Just found your diary :)

Our cats are collared and belled and tbh more about the show than the action - haven't seen either make more than a cursory effort to catch anything. Fernando leapt into the hedge after a butterfly then kinda shook himself off and looked offended at being so rudely rebuffed by the branches!
    Choose kind:)
