Am finding some surveys a bit tedious to say the least, maybe its just me but I had one today that asked something like 'if this supermarket was a person would they a)be your close friend b) you like them but you're not close, c) you have nothing in common etc etc'. Emmm losing the will here. If I have to rate which bank cares about me one more time I'll get a migraine. Think I'll give some sites a rest and stick with YouGov, OnePoll, PineCone and Prolific for now and come back to the others in a while.

After having the timer replaced on the boiler yesterday I woke up to a warm house which felt very luxurious. Considering I grew up in a house which only had a coal fire and back boiler in the living room for heat and was single glazed I've become soft in my old age

Not quite a NSD, have run out of fruit so bought bananas, clementines and as I have a visitor tomorrow who doesn't drink soya milk I bought a pint of milk but can freeze it if it doesn't get used up by visitors. Also bought some parsley to go with the mushroom and chickpea Moroccan stew for tea. Also a pack of chicken breast which I'll make into a curry to give my niece a break from cooking for her family. That all came to £5.22.

Had a coffee with my sister but she paid this time so no spend there

After the Tax Return is finally finished I'm going to look into seeing if I can claim PPI on OH's estate. I'm sure I saw in the weekly email that Martin is going to be talking about this very thing on Monday so have set TV to record it. I also want to look into savings accounts as its been so long since I've been able to save properly, am thnking maybe a TSB Plus account if I qualify.....

I only do surveys on SB and YG - nowadays, so I don't feel like I'm perjuring myself, I make no bones about the fact that I don't trust any of them at all, even though I have to use their services :)

On the PPI and the savings rates, Martin's research is a godsend, isn't it ... good luck with it all.

Don't know where the evening has gone!

Recycling, cardboard and food waste out ready for the morning.

Have finally got all the figures for my tax return so will send it into the ether tomorrow morning :j

Sad to read Diana Athill has died, I liked her books about getting older, living in a care home and embracing life generally.

Quite a difference in temperature today though I know it won't last. I didn't realise it was quite so breezy though and was having breakfast when I heard the unmistakable sound of emptied recycling boxes blowing down the road  Marmite toast abandoned as I hirpled off to rescue them.

Then as previously reported, tax return completed and sent, NIC paid up. Paid 0% CC minimum and switched money around to get reward etc on 2 accounts. Pot of soup made for the weekend and salmon fillets out to defrost.

Been a NSD as didn't go out, have been sorting out more papers to be recycled. OH didn't go in for keeping paperwork under control so there is a lot of his papers still around. His idea of filing was to shove it all in a plastic bag and put it under the bed or behind the settee :eek: I'm working my way through it but its quite hard, was coming across hospital appointment letters and hospital discharge letters from when he had chemo and became so ill he had to be emergency admitted. I try not to read the letters just glance at what they are as it takes me right back to that time. I'll keep going but do a bit at a time I think so it doesn't get to much and I stop completely.

Am going to watch some TV and see if the big old furry boy is up for a cuddle - he usually is :D
