Restricted Mobile Telephone Provider Choice
Any tips for me please.
We have very poor mobile telephone reception except for Vodafone and O2. So my choice of provider is very limited, I'm a sim only user.
Any help would be welcomed.
I'v tried 3, Virgin, ID, EE.
My contract runs out with Vodafone in about a month, I usually sign up for a 12 month contract.

You can use any of the virtual network operators that use the same networks, eg Lebara uses Vodaphone and Tesco Mobile uses O2.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.1

Have a read of this MSE article https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/piggybacking/O2 Major players: Giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Sky Mobile Minnows: LycaMobile, TalkTalk Mobile

If your phone is an old model, it may not have the additional frequency bands now used by some networks. For example I am on Three and when I changed from an iPhone 5 to an IPhone SE, the indoor coverage of 4G signals improved dramatically.
Beware of the small print if changing networks, especially with regard to overspending caps (or lack of). The EE network is being improved to provide the emergency services with a replacement for the Airwave network, I would be surprised if you really have poor EE coverage.0 -
If Vodafone and O2 are the best but still not a brilliant signal it may be best to only consider them directly as (at least some of) the MVNO's don't necessarily use all of the available frequencies thus lowering the signal quality.0

Which handset do you use? Vodafone do offer WiFi Calling, not sure about SIMO plans. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0

Samsung 5,
The reception of Vodafone and O2 are very good both inside and outside the house.
I have a second mobile telephone with pay as you go with Three. I keep it just in case Vodafone is down, i just stand outside (it's an old contract and I do not loose any money if I make one call a month)0 -
