I can’t believe this is our Martin!

I was doing a bit of research this evening when at the side of the page I spotted Martin’s photo with the title ‘Martin’s Tricks To Millions.’ Now I must say that I’m very weary of clicking on links like that well it was our Martin so I couldn’t resist.

When I clicked on the link it brought me here: https://XXXXXX. withinbook.net/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMInt2bk-_e3wIVIqftCh3kHAzCEAEYASAAEgK8VvD_BwE (remove the X’s if you want to click through.)

The title of the article shouts out: ‘Martin Lewis Reveals How Making Money With Bitcoin Is Becoming Easier Than Ever Thanks To This.’ The accompanying photo looks a bit like Martin, but I’m not convinced.

What’s going on, surely Martin is not encouraging us to dabble in the likes of Bitcoins? I’m assuming it’s a scam but it seems so blatant I’m surprised it can’t be stopped

I appreciate that this not be the most obvious board to post on but as it is investment related I opted for here

Do you think it is endorsed by “our Martin”?

Without reading, or even looking at the link it’s obviously click bait. There was a tv interview a while ago with him rather worked up about scammers using his name/image. It happens, much quicker and easier to but up a scam site than find and request they be removed.

Your assumption is obviously absolutely correct, and the same thing was everywhere a while ago with Dragons investing for the first time live on the show via an app and immediately making thousands profit. If you believe that you'll believe anything, but the ads were even pasted into financial sites for weeks on end, which shows just how the net site hosters couldn't care less where their ad income comes from.

most scams are blatently obvious but people still fall for them. The authorities are usually years behind in dealing with these things. However, some will never end because the perpetrators are often based overseas or they use companies that start up, scam for a period and shut down before they get on the radar of the authorities. Then they start again.

It's a combination of don't care & rake in the advertising revenue. Facebook, newspapers , google, all seem happy to host these outright scams. They might make a cursory attempt to stop them but when the publicity dies down it seems they ignore it again.
Remember this on any other ads or articles you read.

Isn't DOADS used to describe a female breast?

Yes highly commendable but the problem is once you see DOADS you cannot un-see it.
