Will the £638 bill not take instalments?“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0

Hey wannabe. thanks for your lovely reply. I really appreciate you taking the time to write. BF will definitely help with food and fuel, and anything i make selling wise, i do have a few things to sell which should bring in £100+. hmmm just realised after school club or subs for dancing or rainbows aren't included. OK so tomorrow, I will eBay my life away and also sort UC. BF is at work until 10.30 so I have 3 hours to my self when small ones go to bed.
No the £638 is already super late and i need to pay asap. May is much better thank you, i was worried Roo would get it but he seems ok fingers crossed. No shoes i can't take back but are perfect for next year, will just have to go back. BF did offer to pay for the last ones (bless him) so i may just get him to pay for new ones.
Im feeling a lot more positive that i have at least a bit of a handle on things......0 -
Glad to hear you're feeling more positive
I hope you manage to get done what you need too and then things will be a little easier hopefully

Thanks wannabe, I hope you slept better last night. I couldn’t get to sleep last night. It must have been around 2.30am before I dropped off. Couldn’t believe it was morning when the children woke up.
Children are having toast for breakfast today. I’m in 2 minds whether to go to the city again today to try and May some more shoes. I have beavers at 6. So in theory I have time to go after school.... I haven’t budgeted for more shoes but BF said he’s pay before but if not I have bids up to £37 on my eBay items so provided they go up to £45 I can afford them myself. So we will see.
I’m being gifted some board games which I need to collect at school pick up time.
Shopping is going to be a bit more expensive this week, I’ve budgeted £20 but I need cat food (both sorts) and dishwasher tablets. Still shopping at Lidl which is really helping. I won’t go until Thursday though. Tonight’s dinner will be chicken and pasta and small peeps will have tuna rice and peas.
Right off to make breakfast and I’ll be back.0 -
You do indeed seem to have a handle on things and are making the small changes - which all mount up.0

I've done that before - ebaying to cover food and stuff. It's perfectly doable if you've got stuff to sell, but soul destroying if you have to do it over a long period of time. I did it for years. Hope the UC claim can be sorted asap."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

On my way to get May some shoes. I have £20 in £ coins BF told me to spend so I’m hoping that will cover it. I’m parking in the free car park if I ever get there. Traffic is horrendous this morning not sure what’s going on. This is going to be a real test for me to not spend anything else. As I can always find something the children ‘need’. Wish me luck. Need to go and pick up a toaster from a FB seller as ours has completely broken and we use it daily so needs must. But that was budgeted for by BF.0

Oh, if you know what type and size shoe you want, you can often find them cheap on ebay. I've done that before, got them measured at Clarks, decide on the shoe and then buy the actual shoe cheaper on ebay."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks JWIL. I’m hoping it will only be for the 5 weeks if takes for the UC to come through. As soon as I put the claim in tonight. Although will have to link to BFs email probably tomorrow. Fingers crossed that my eBAy sales do well tonight!0 -
