We don't like overnight oats as in oats layered with fruit and yogurt. It tastes like sick :o Sorry to anyone that likes it!

I literally weigh my oats out put in a jug with water and leave in the fridge overnight then cook as normal. They are 'creamier' than just made with water without soaking

That’s what I’m after, do the oats get bigger than If you just do it in the microwave? I’m going to try anything to eak our this budget!

Sorry yeah I buy the value/smartprice sultanas from in the baking aisle. Sometimes homebargains has raisins in at a similar price. Mine eat either though.

I'm not sure about bigger they have 'soaked' so are obviously soaked up some of the water. It does make mine enjoy them more though.

Going to try that. If I wasn’t already in bed I would go and do it now, but I’m not feeling the best and can really do with having an early night. Especially as I’m sure Roo will be up puking at some point!

Ok eBay stuff went for £53 so aside from the £26 I need to make ends meet I’ve made another £27. So out of my £242 to find total, I now have ££215 to find. So not bad, am still trying to sleep.

Really didn’t sleep, argued with BF. Not feeling great :(
  • Hope the day improves for you Missy.

Don't let a bad day scupper your long term plans. There's always a temptation to say "fudge it" and splurge. Resist!!
