With the gifts, could you do a re-gift or have a look in the Christmas gift sales? I picked up two gifts today for £2 each, were originally £5 each :)

Thats a great idea, I will have a look in the city tomorrow, there is a debenhams for me to look through! would love to regift stuff but May and Roo got very little here for Christmas and what they did get was just what I bought, nothing from family etc.

Thank you so much for posting, I really appreciate your input x

If you have prime Amazon is a good idea. I never spend more than £5 and even then I try and do less :o Or Argos 2 for £15? not saving as much as halving the cost but still a little.

Yeah my DS is older in Age 10. I buy from Character usually twice a year. They wash amazing and don't shrink! Mine live in PJ's at home so are washed and back on quite often.

ok word with myself!!!! I could answer a lot of these things, like shoes and pyjamas which i can get from eBay. If i just list on beat and sell the things I have taken photos of, I can get the money in my PayPal to pay for them.

Oh just tried to make some toast and the toaster isn't working!!!! its really old!! son new one needed we have toast 1-2 times day. so I'm adding that to the list of things we need to buy!!!!

Well I've just cleaned up the hell hole that was the kitchen, unloaded an reloaded the dishwasher, swept the floor and wiped all the sides down. Also have been soaking May's pants for an hour as they are so Sk*d marked, sorry I know TMI, but they're all like it, and I'm not buying more, so I'm trying my best to get all the marks out! they're in the washing machine now so heres hoping!

Going to list a couple of bits on eBay now.....

  • Hi missy,

Just popped by to say hello and well done. Kids shoes are so expensive and I don't think there's anything wrong with using money from
Their Christmas, it's something they need.

We're lucky we have a Clark's outlet near us so I regular manage to get pairs £10-£12 and they're both in large adult sizes. Clark's have a good sale online and in high street At the minute. It's worth a look on their sale rails to see if you can find a bargain as often cheaper than supernarkets. They also have great guarantee too if you have any problems. My daughters feet grew with 6weeks and they gave us another size bigger for free.

Have the most horrendous cold and can’t sleep. Just spent the last half an hour cleaning up Mays sick.. just as I was writing that it happened again! So I’ve gone through two duvet covers, two sheets, 4 pillow cases and a pillow and I’ve just had to give May a 2am bath! Bless her heart. She’s fine in herself though?! I’m in the spare room as I’ve been coughing so much and this way I can hear May if she’s sick again. I hope not as I haven’t got any more sheets! Have learnt a valuable lesson though. I really need to sort out the airing cupboard, I literally can’t find anything without pulling everything out as there’s no shelves and everything is just chucked in! Might look on gumtree for some shelves or something. Kiddies will be up at 6am so not holding out getting much sleep! Anyone else up?

    Sounds like an eventful night!

Someone mentioned a website ‘entitled to’ where you can check what benefits you might be eligible for. Have you seen it?

Hate that feeling when things feel so overwhelming. Trying to make a list every morning with 2 or 3 things I need to get done that day. Some days 3 is too ambitious and maybe I need to set myself 1-2 targets for the day.

Good luck with everything and don’t be too hard on yourself ... you’re right at the centre, keeping the ship afloat!
