No point blaming them, they got proof of delivery so there is nothing they can do. The fault lies with Yodel, no one will refund when they get proof of delivery.

Yodel have admitted to me they have lost it and said all Toby Deals have to do is contact them to claim, they won’t.

Yodel can’t change it from delivered to not delivered!

    Small claims court worth it?
    How much does it cost?
  • The trouble is, you are not in a position to take Yodel to court because you don't have a contract with them, your contract is with TD. No claim against TD will work because they're a HK seller.

You have to keep trying to persuade TD to deal with it, that's the only way you'll get anything back.

If anyone wants an update, I went into my bank & asked them to reclaim the funds as I hadn’t been provided the goods. They warned me PayPal might refuse and not release, but they would attempt.
    It didn’t work.

    Stay away from Toby Deals!

Nothing wrong with Toby Deals, not used them myself but others have.
I only use websites like Gearbest, Ali Express etc for small purchases, if they get lost then not much to lose.

I have seen a number of 'deals' from this company. So glad I didn't buy from them. They seemed a bit of a 'chancer' company but I have to say I rarely buy goods from China or Japan anyway. If something goes wrong, generally you are on a hiding to nothing.

The irritating thing is you have to be very careful buying items from Ebay now because you can't always tell where the goods are coming from.

It is yodels error that has caused this problem though

Yes, but you are not a customer of theirs so they don't have to deal with you.

So I’m stuck and despite using PayPal I kiss goodbye to my money.
  • It would seem so, such is the risk of buying from an overseas seller. It probably works fine for the majority of customers but as you've discovered, saving £20 on a £300 product is a false economy when things go wrong and you're not covered by U.K. laws.

This problem is however causes not by yodels loss of an item, but their misinformation on the system.
I expect the driver marked it as delivered, maybe even scribbled an x in the sig box and hoped for the best.
It’s their refusal to change & correct their records that is causing this, they say they can’t & Toby deals just need to contact them......
