  • Just noticed this on the Yodeldirect site. 'YodelDirect.com is powered by Parcel2go'

Explains why I received an equally appalling service from both of them. I'm willing to pay as much as a pound extra for my parcels if it means not having to deal with either of them ever again.

The service I was critising wasn't the the fact that the delivery went missing but how Parcel2Go themselves dealt with the missing item. Even when they received confirmation from Hermes that the item was lost, Parcel2Go went out of their way to delay the payment and stall me in every way they could.

They never gave me any updates and I had to chase them up at every stage of the claim process. In all I spoke to Online Chat over 10 times, I have kept every bit of communication I had with them, it consists of a lot of fannying around from their part as they pass me back and forth, hoping I would simply give up on my claim and go away.

they can be very frustrating and just give generic answers to everything

  • I am currently having issues with Parcel2Go, sent an parcel which cost me £9.79 to send.

The delivery company lost the item, and after a lot of hassle with Parcel2Go they finally agreed to pay me £20 compensation but they only gave me £2.78 carriage refund.

I questioned why I was only refunded £2.78 carriage refund and was told they came to the figure as follows:

£9.79 - £7.01 = £2.78, when I questioned this they stopped replying. Now every time I talk to them they are just cutting me off and not replying.
  • I’m having a problem now with them, sent something through Parcel2go and Hermes, sent two big suitcases and one has turned up but the other hasn’t and stopped being tracked like 3 days ago I have been told it’s in a “hub” and now they have said Hermes are trying to find it. It’s a massive silver suitcase surely they will find it?! They are saying maybe the label has fallen off that’s why it is being held somewhere, anyone know if this could be the case or am I naive? So worried

  • Thank you I have spoke to them! How bad is Hermes live chat? Omg I ended up speaking to 3 different people as they kept just saying “have a nice day bye” half way through. So bad
  • When Hermes lost my parcel which I booked via parcel2go, I spoke to Hermes on livechat and their customer service seemed far more responsive than parcel2go, although ultimately they could not help me as I had made the booking with parcel2go.

Parcel2go's livechat was like talking to a robot with each generic reply taking a really long time, each agent probably talks to about 20 people at the same time. The biggest problem with Parcel2Go is that the agents seem to have no power to do anything so it becomes completely pointless contacting them.
  • I posted parcel to South Africa in Jan'19 but apparently parcel was lost after arriving at S.A. courier's depot. I did insure for value of goods (£79). Investigation was launched 05 Feb '19 and was told 7 -14 days to resolve. Almost a month later and they keep sending me e-mails stating they await feedback from S.A courier and need another 7 days. At what stage do they accept parcel is lost? They wont even allow me to lodge claim because they are still investigating. I want the £79 insured value and a refund of the £127 courier fee but they keep telling me 7 - 14 days.
