Did they give you an estimated time for payout? This incentive is paying by 19th April 2019.
  • The previous incentive of £125 will be paid on 8th February. I've been waiting for it too :)

Likewise, but I thought it is by 8/2 not on 8/2, not that the distinction matters either way as long as they pay it.

By 8th Feb, so over 2 months.

I can't switch to FD to get their £125 until NatWest coughs up.

I'd get myself another donor account or two
  • I'm waiting for my £125 payout from NatWest but regretting ever so slightly not waiting for a higher incentive such as the £150 one now being offered.

My direct debits are with NatWest currently. I was with Halifax and decided to switch to NatWest to get the £125 which is where my wage gets paid into (I'll need this for FD to qualify for not being charged at some point). I opened a TSB Classic Plus which I'm currently using as my main account to get the 5% as I didn't want to stay with NatWest as they don't offer any other decent accounts or pay interest (I wouldn't need their reward account). I also have a Tesco Bank Current Account.

I will most likely make FD my main account with wage and DDs, because I'll keep it for the RS, then have TSB and Tesco as interest earning accounts. I've already been with Halifax and Nationwide, so I can't get their offers again.
  • Does anyone know if you get £150 x2 for switching a sole account and a joint account?

I feel a bit 'taken in' by the apparent offer of £150 to existing customers - I've been with NW since I were a lad. I feel that it's a little ambiguous on their website which states the following.

This offer is available to new and existing customers. To qualify for the £150 offer you must:

Apply for an eligible account between the 7th of Jan and 15th of Feb 2019.
Complete your switch to us using the Current Account Switching Service by the 22nd of March.
Deposit £1,500 into your NatWest account and log in to online or Mobile banking by the 22nd of March.

I just called them and was told that they could convert my existing account to a Reward account in minutes (they've been banging on at me for ages to do this) but I wouldn't be eligible for the £150 because I wouldn't be going through the switching process. I would need to close an account with another bank in order to get that. I asked about creating a new account for me with NW and 'switching' to that but that won't cut it either.

I feel that the wording of their offer is a little misleading and needs to be changed. Fifteen minutes of my life waiting in a phone queue that I'll never get back :(
