I agree, there is no doubt that many who get caught are the architects of their own misfortune.
Every now and again the half truth of:
" I followed the advice to ignore everything as these are not proper fines and now ive got a CCJ on my records and cant get a loan/credit card/phone contract/mortgage help"
Comes up, a vast majority of people either think they are real fines - which is why there is often trouble with hire companies whose employees believe the same, and pay up, or take the militant approach and ignore, and in a few cases complain to the local newpaper which then does a shockingly bad article on the so called facts about parking finesFrom the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0
