ES Parking lost in Exeter Court. Sadly no costs awarded to the defendant, but it was filmed by Channel 5 for Britain's Parking Hell.
I have no other details.

Look forward to further details as they emerge. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It's a closed Fakebook group so difficult to get much more than basic info. I will report back if I can find the proposed broadcast date.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

It was only filmed today. It could be weeks before it is scheduled, or may not even make it to the small screen at all.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

It was for the heinous crime of not wholly parked within a bay. The defendant proved they were correctly parked.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Hardly a deliberate breach of contract, often there is little alternative when others are parked too close.
I should be interested to know why no costs were awarded. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

It may well be that the defendant ignored everything, until the court claim arrived.
In such cases, many Judges will say that the motorist should have engaged with the PPC from the outset, and if he had done so there may have been no need for a court hearing, so no costs are claimable.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
I agree, there is no doubt that many who get caught are the architects of their own misfortune. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

As alluded to by the Judges in The Supreme Court in ParkingEye v Beavis.Hardly a deliberate breach of contract, often there is little alternative when others are parked too close.
I'm not sure whether anyone has used this reference in a small claim case for 'not wholly parked within a bay ', especially a 'wheel over the line'. It would be interesting to see what a DJ would make of such a pleading. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
