My rights regarding a 6 week old iphone x?

Hi, I recently purchased a Apple iPhone X - A little under 6 weeks ago.

It's already become faulty, I use the phone as it should be , Calls and texts, internet...
The handset is playing up, I have reported it to my original retailer "Sky", They say i must send the handset back to them for a repair?

now, if the item was over a year old, and had been heavily used, id understand sending it back for a repair, but 6 weeks in and its already become faulty, i dont feel a repair is good enough, i feel i should be eligible to get a brand new handset personally?

What are my rights in regards to requesting a brand new handset due to "FFP" ?

After 6 weeks it's not about your rights it's about theirs. After 30 days they have the right to repair it, you can ask for a brand new phone but they can choose repair, replace or refund.

You will send it to them and they will send it to an authorised Apple repair centre who will either fix it or send you a refurb, there is a good chance you won't even get the same phone back.

The retailer is entitled to repair the handset.

Contacted them 4 days after the purchase to report a fault, but left it 6 weeks to chase it up?
How did you contact them and what did you report?

    Drip, drip, drip.

Can you please give us the full story. When did you buy it, when did it become faulty, when did you contact them and receive a acknowledgement?

    What is FFP?
Financial Fair Play? Perhaps the OP owns a football club...

The retailer will want a authorised repairer to look at it anyway to make sure it hasn't been damaged or modified in anyway.

Unless you give correct information , you're not going to get the right advice.

  • If you informed them of the fault after only 4 days then you should be able to get a refund.
