so, it means that per hour gas used costs here approx 0.67 euro per hour. in my case.

i think its fine as we have to use only for four months may be in belgium,
so, overall the costs would be divided by whole year.

due to poor insulation of the apartment, more heating is used....
i think i will be paying 67 euros per month,

if i use 300 units for 4 months.

and it is fine for the apartment with poor insulation.

thank u so much guys :)

i was confused earlier, but now m clear enough

Looks to be an hour meter, with a circulating pump below. It may be measuring the run time?

You sure you have gas and electric in the apartment? Who supplies / is named on the bills?

It may be some sort of communal / district heating scheme whereby they charge on the basis of how long that pump runs?

But, turning down thermostatic radiator valves to low temperatures or off should minimise the time that you are running that (heating) pump for.

do you have any idea for costs about these communal heating schemes anywhere else ?

Most communal heating systems would have a "heat meter" which measure the amount of heat being used by measuring the flow and input/output temperatures and you would be charged by the kwh. So the more rads you have turned on, the more heat you'll extract from the system so it will cost more.

However It appears that this is just an hour meter which just records the amount of time the pump is energised and you pay by the hour so it shouldn't make much difference whether one or all rads are turned on if the pump runs for the same amount of time.

If all radiators are fed via this pump and the pump is controlled by the room stat then even if all the radiator in the place are on then it would run for roughly the same amount of time as if it was only feeding one rad in the room with the stat. Theorectically it shouldn't cost any more to heat all the rooms.

It might be worth trying it out by recording the meter running times over a few days with differnt numbers of rads turned on.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

Yes. But if i switch on all the radiators. Living room takes more time to get heated.. and in this way. Thermostate takes more time to switch off.

So. Even if the flow is same, no matter how much radiators i switch on, it has an impact. As the similar amount of flow goes to 6 radiators instead of 2.

So. Its better to switch on only 2. Instead of 6..

And it costs 0.67 per hour approx .

    Is it fine ?
    Anybody know such cases ?

Because as fas as i have searched on internet.. everybody has been charged on cubic meters and then on kwh..
