1p mobile top up question

I need a temporary PAYG SIM for a friend who is visiting me for 2 months.

I see that 1p mobile PAYG rate is cheapest and it needs to be topped up with £10 minimum which lasts 4 months.

But after 4 months if I don't top up will it expire (no problem with that) or it will top up automatically using my credit card details?

It will expire there is an auto top-up function but it has to be turned on and only activates when the amount of credit is too low. You can also of course cancel the account rather than let it expire.

In which case you'd lose the credit??
