    If you know what you're doing, thats fine. Some don't have the time to refurbish, they just want to move in.

    Id pay more for a house that has been regularly maintained. Some people don't apply the stitch in time saves 9 philosophy. Rather wait for the roof to leak, and drains to overflow than clean them regularly.
    That sort of seller I could do without.

    So how do you identify that it's been regularly maintained and not just tarted up on the cheap to sale?
