Morning it’s cold here. Just had breakfast and fed the cats. Going to work soon but only a hour so not so bad. I need to call in Tesco for a few bits so will make a list soon When I get back I will tidy up and sort out the dry washing and put it away. I do have a bag to go to the charity shop so I might go in the afternoon

    Morning all,

Thinking of Holly. Thinking all of you who are struggling at the moment.

I have no advice on sleeping, I am the type who can go off fairly easily but usually wakes up in the middle of night for a few hours. For me, I think it is an age thing (55 this year), as I remember my mum was the same.

Your holidays sound nice Nelskie and Speky.

Today, I need to tidy the small bedroom. It has become the dumping ground, so I need to find homes for bits and pieces, or out they go. Then the usual washing etc.

Just remembered, I planned on doing a food pantry inventory, so I best get started.

    Take care all.

Morning everyone I've been productive this morning and sorted clothes out for the charity shop...quite pleased with my lovely tidy wardrobe and drawers. We already have 6 bags full from eldest DDs huge sort-out while she was home so someone from the heart foundation shop will collect them on Saturday.
I'm going to visit youngest DD this afternoon. Because we are so far from the hospital there is a free taxi service provided every day from our little local hospital so I need to be in town for 12.30 for that. I'm looking forward to seeing her...her boyfriend called this morning and says she's quite stressed about everything. Her blood pressure has been really high the last two mornings so shes been moved to the birthing centre, but then it comes down so shes moved back to the ward. They seem to be trying to keep her going as long as possible, but the baby has only put on a few ounces in the last 2 weeks.....Shes up to 30 weeks now
Well I'd better go and hoover as big cat brought a bird through the cat flap just as I sat down with my cuppa so there's feathers to hoover up! I chased him out the front door and the bird escaped....cat was not happy!

    Hope all goes well dp1!

Just had a call to say that my chair isn't coming until tomorrow now...am swallowing my ire though it tastes of bile. At least I know that it's not going down to Campbeltown but staying overnight in Glasgow.

Woodburner is on, warmth is spreading and work being done.

    Morning all,

Belated happy new year to all.

Thinking of Holly today and sending positive vibes.....sounds as if really good aftercare is in place for when she comes home.

Glad to hear that you had a good holiday Nelski, could do with a holiday myself......the whole house is in various stages of recovery from the flu, virus or whatever we had over Christmas.,......common denominator at present is short temper.......will try to keep my mouth shut to avoid argument.

Sorry that I can't offer any help or advice for those who are having sleeping problems I sleep like a log most nights..

It's rather cold here at present, have had heating on for an hour this morning, OH will light the liviñg room in a bit, means that we have one cosy room all day.

    Have a good day all.

Back from my gym session and had my brunch, naughty but nice GF crumpet (not as good as real ones) some streaky bacon and eggs, now enjoying a cuppa or two before I decide what to do, if anything today. I am always shattered after the session. I really need to put away the tins, jars and packets bought yesterday, but it is so cold in the garage/utility:(

Good to see Nelski and Specky back, pleased that you have had good holidays.

TA sorry about the lack of sleep, same goes for bella and others with the same problem.

dp1 sending positive thoughts for yourself, your DD and the baby, awful times for you all.

Thinking of Holly, taff and Poppy too.

SO I don't think you should feel guilty about not visiting, you have your DOH and yourself to think of too.

I will have a proper read through later, just skimmed to far, take care all.

Another one not sleeping; I've tried just about every "cure" known to man, but nothing helps. :(
It's going to be worse tonight, as the Whippets went home this morning; at least for the past five nights I've has them there, (they sleep on their owners' bed at home, so they slept on the bed here also) which has been calming for me.
Oh well.... I've been like it for over five decades, so I don't think there's much chance of an improvement at this late stage.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
