Orange & my phone - help!!
 I wonder if someone can help me. I've had a contract with Orange for 1 year (its an 18 month contract) & had problems with my handset the entire time.
What can I do? Everyone I speak to gives me conflicting information & I have written a letter of complaint & never heard anything back.
I have had to put Orange care onto my account but I dont see how its any better than their normal service?
Im totally fed up with them & cannot see a solution to this...
Im also very disappointed with them as I always thought they were amongst the best out there but they just seem to be money grabbing.

If you are paying for Orange Care you should get a faulty handset replaced in 48 hours. I've only ever claimed because of a lost or damaged phone, in which case there is a charge though.
I've been with Orange for about 6 years and they have been pretty good.
Even though your contract is 18 mths, you could get an upgrade now, if you'd sign up to another contract... a chance to get a better phone?!
Also a chance to upgrade your tariff - say you are thinking of leaving and you'll be put through to Retention - you then tell them about a better deal with another company and ask them to match it. Despite the fact that you can't leave yet, they still seem to play ball, in my experience.0 -
Thanks - well I have had replacement handsets & had them sent off to be fixed numerous times too...
But they can only offer me the same handset & said I am unable to upgrade my phone because its only a year into my contract.
I dont want to sign to a new contract with Orange due to the amount of problems I've had with them.Shadia0 -
I've had problems with most of my Orange phones... I've just called Orange care and they've replaced it with another handset (same model though, even though some of the faults are down to poor design). They just send out a courier that picks up the phone (excluding battery, battery cover, charger, sim, memory card etc), and swaps it for a new/refurb handset. I think it cost £15 each time I called them out, and the courier came at a time convenient me.0

you can upgrade whenever you want but you may have to pay an upgrade fee. If you get through to retenetions (tell them you wanna leave) tell them that other companies are doing fantastic deals and you want that 9 times out of ten they will match it. Tel them that unless they can match the deal then you will down grade your tarriff to the very minimum you can have. They dont like losing customers0
