Sadly it looks like this may be a harsh lesson in business practices. Businesses have much less protection than consumers. The law views two businesses as being on an equal footing when negotiating a contract. That means it's pretty much down to you to check what you sign is accurate and acceptable.

Whilst clearly some companies have a stronger position than others the law doesn't see it that way.

    Sorry it's not better news.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me as a Ltd Company !!!

The sales person offered a 2 year contract and reasonably good rates - it was our first ever contract so we were probably rather green.

However, we soon found out that that we were in fact signed up for 5 years, at different rates (worse of course !), no free rental period that we were promised, allsorts of "add ons", like printer rolls )so watch out for those !!) and endless compliance procedures (about every 6 weeks - when everyone else seems to be 1 times a year !). Lucky I always do record any agreements made over the phone on paper and check them after
My advice is to lodge a formal complaint asap !

Get them to listen to your sales call - it will be recorded.

We ended up getting refunded a host of charges and reverted to the terms of our initial conversation - including leaving after 2 years which we could not wait to do:mad: Whats more, we even got some weird charges after we left, which I disputed and had reversed.....please watch out for these.

We are now with World Pay, with whom I had lengthy negotiations (what you get offered by all these companies tends to be widely negotiable so you have to press hard to get a good deal)....they are better than Payment Sense but you still have to really watch all these companies IMO - wer have already had some minor disputes with World Pay already :(
