you may not get the SAR in time in order to look for defence points, so you may have to adjust any defence accordingly

examples of a defence are in the NEWBIES thread post #2 , look at any written or honed by member BARGEPOLE, starting with his concise defence

or can you not find and read any of those dozens of defence examples linked in there ?

my comments are made because if you dont do the SAR they can keep all their evidence back until a few weeks before the court case, in a few months time

I assume you want it asap, rather than just before you see the judge ?

prior to GDPR, they would show their grubby hand until the last minute , plus if they give you work to do, give them some back !!!

They are going to see your defence when you submit it to the court and the claimant.

    Depends what they see.

If you post something here that helps their case, then of course it might.

this is what I got in response, please see my SAR above in a previous reply.

In order to narrow your request and provide accurate data, please complete the enclosed Subject Access request Form and return to us together with the identification documents requested within. You are under no obligation to fill this form out, but it would be useful for us to receive it so that we can more accurately establish your request and identity. Should you chose not to complete and return the attached form, please provide the identification documents requested within so to satisfy us of your identity. Once we are in receipt of this information, we will formally respond to your request.

Please note that any data realised will be of data appertaining to you and held by us. If you have any specific questions relating to ongoing court cases, you must address any septic question to the authority dealing with your case.
Request 2-3-4 does not fall within your rights. Request 5 (I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that any claim made against me must be for all Parking charge notices in one single claim not several separate claims) must be addressed to the relevant authorities dealing with your cases. The same for ii. and iv. We will however endeavour to respond with what we have on file.

generally speaking , they want too much data, data they are not entitled to under GDPR

so the bare minimum is what you use, not all their nosey questions

    see this thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5849784/june-2018-start-of-the-new-ppc-and-dvla-fightback-gdpr-related

you can give them the name , address , a suitable email for corresponding with , plus some form of proof of ID, this could be a pic of your DL, or Passport , or the MCOL form , or the V5C for example

they have to know that you are you , by law (by that GDPR), before they release any data to you (it works both ways and the fines are serious money)

I would not give out the following

    D.O.B.
    PHONE NUMBERS
    SHOE SIZE
    BANK CARD NUMBER
    PIN CODE
    MY MUMS MAIDEN NAME

    etc

    make your own mind up

ps:- of course they read your posts, it would not be hard for them to match up what you are saying with the recent claims they issued, like on the DATE OF ISSUE, they may only have ONE , or half a dozen , etc

this is why we tell people to use an anonymous name , like starship7 , and not to reveal any info like who was driving, it seems to fall on deaf ears as most people are on FBOOK and give out far too much info, to hackers, and to sc@mmers
