I had a large piece of white conti board, cut it into three and put it in an alcove (2 sides as legs, large piece on top. Uber cheap, looks great. I've done this a few times in houses as I've never found a desk I like, even made a pull out keyboard holder.0

Sounds like this one: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/desks/desk-computer-desks/adils-linnmon-table-white-spr-09929641/
Ultimately you haven't really explained what you're after. Who will use the desk? Will it be for a laptop, computer, monitor, printer, etc? How long will the desk be used for? Do you need room for papers and writing?
Linmon is perfecty serviceable. They have a nice corner unit which is good for computer use and it butts up to the table already mentioned if required. I have several.

HOWEVER be aware all the cheap linmon tables are actually made of corrugated cardboard. The top and bottom is thin hardboard, the ends have chipboard inserts to take the legs. They are still strong, but not the thing to buy if you like to sit on your desk a lot, or for any activity that will impact the table surface a lot. you can see inside one here:

I picked up an Ikea Galant (now discontinued but IMO a much better desk than it's replacement the Bekant) in good condition last year for £1.20.
please let me know where can I find such auctions?0 -
I've had one of the first linked Ikea ones and it was alright but felt a bit cheap.
We've got one of those linemen tables in use as a temporary kitchen table atm and I would get one of those for a desk for the cost/size of it in a heart beat. Only thing is they're very light, but for the price they're hard to beat - no cable management holes either obviously.
Currently using a desk I found a seller on facebook marketplace, it was £50 so I thought it would be crap, but as i work from home i needed something bigger - bloody thing weighs a ton and is 2m wide with the drawers, kept joking to my gf it must have fell off the back of a lorry or something as no way it would be a £50 desk from a shop, but not complaining - it fits my home office perfectly! great quality, loads of space, cable management holes etc and the drawers are sturdy and good quality as well. Works great for me as I"ve got a printer, a 27 inch iMac and a work laptop to fit onto it and this allows me to have everything set up at the same time rather than squashing onto a smaller desk.

It was this seller - its in the north east so might be a trek from wherever you are - you could always contact them and see if they would courier, or ask them what the brand is...0
