Hi
I recently got a new android phone (2 or 3 days ago) from !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on a 2 year contract.
I have since opened the phone and played around with it though haven't opened / inserted the new sim card. I haven't removed anything else from the packaging (Power brick, earphones etc) and have everything it came with.
Can this be returned as I don't like the phone ?

It's been used so unlikely.
Most phone / electronic shops have a range of these on display so you can play about with them before purchasing.0 -
I think you can return it if you bought it online.

Hi
Yes, bought online. Didn't let me post the link...
From the online retailer mobiles .co .uk... (that are part of carphone warehouse)0 -
What do their T&C;s say? Remember that the phone is essentially a freebie: what you have already committed to is a 24m airtime contract, which is a separate component of the contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Contract can be cancelled as the SIM wasn't used.
The T&C, whatever they say, cannot override the law.0 -

No it isn't, no mobile phone provided with a contract ever is. You pay for the cost of the phone via the monthly payments of the mobile phone contract. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

You have 14 days to cancel from the time it was received.0

Yeap, you can return it under distance selling.
Actually remember going into Carphone and a guy helped me decide on a phone and decided to buy it. I asked him whether I can bring it back if I change find i dont like it as per DSR (at the time), he said I cant. I told him thanks but in that case I'll have to order it from CPW online. He was bemused because he didn't know about the rule. This obviously affects counter sales and I seem to think they now offer 10 return over the counter nowIf I ruled the world.......0
