Royal Mail on YouTube

Official MoneySavingExpert.com note:

Christmas presents and other gifts often don't reach their destination simply because they weren't wrapped properly and that simply ain't MoneySaving! If you're at all unsure about how to wrap parcels to ensure they're fully protected and reach their destination in one piece then there's a great video postal workers have made to show you how.

  • On a slightly tangentially-related note, here is my own mathematical formula for how much wrapping paper to use when wrapping presents!

What the hell happened to my post on here? Stevie was very thoughtful in posting about the video, but managed to use a broken link. The link on the Royal Mail website does point directly to the video, bypassing the YouTube page, probably because they didn’t want those additional sarcy comments. I’m not sure how Stevie’s original link managed to go wrong. Soon after, I stuck up the link for the actual YouTube page.

I appreciate that the staff are free to do with the posts as they see fit – to alter, amend or delete in any way they choose. I’ve read the terms and conditions for the forum that give Martin and his limited company blanket license to all the copyright of original material submitted to the forum. I’m not looking for any credit or recognition. I couldn’t have imagined, when I posted, the thread would be linked to by the Weekly Money Tips email. We’ve lost enough of the forum’s historical record, because of the database backup debacle. Do we have to manually deleted posts too?

No problem, at least the link work now. Strange thing is I copied the broken link from the RM site! Thanks again Alfie for alerting me.

Hmmmmmm ... plenty of bubble and newspaper then stuffed it into a cardboard box. Very technical!

You all deserve a payrise for that - NOT.

So how much will that parcel cost to send this Christmas?

    Scandalous!

    (Bah Humbug!)
  • What a shocking video, sorry I don't see how that helps people, just shows you how to waste packaging and basic address writing.

Don't know how that made the weekly email

you think people dont need help on basic address writing?
believe me with xmas coming there are 1000's of items with barely an adress/surname and no postcode.
of course the card addressed to granny, edinburgh was stolen and nothing to do with the non existant address or return address

Despite the best advice given on websites, forums, youtube etc, there are still too many people out there that have no common sense or thought.
