One sample IN today:
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturiser 1.5ml sample
Boots were/are giving away samples of two Ole Henriksen products before the brand launches in stores and online on Friday.
I had my driving test today and I failedSo feeling a bit disheartened and upset, but not too much, but I need a bit of online shopping to cheer me up. I'm using the money I was given for my birthday towards it. I need to restock on one of my favourite Paula's Choice anyway, but I've added a few extra items to my basket

Australiana wrote: »Hi all, as a beauty product addict I think I need to join this thread! Makeup/skincare is my major weakness and puts a hole in my budget every month; meanwhile, my mum who is currently visiting gasped when she saw my stash recently (causing me enough guilt to go through it all and pass a bunch of things I never even use on to her).
Today I got a new Beauty Pie delivery (it's amazing btw) which came with 10 new items, and I realised it might be time to pull back. So, assuming I'm doing this right, I have 10 things IN at the moment:
IN
Beauty Pie Furturelipstick in Heartthrob Pink
Beauty Pie Futurelipstick in Total Riot
Beauty Pie Smart Powder Blush in Go Rouge
Beauty Pie Wonderful lip liner in Damzel
Beauty Pie Fantasticolour sculpting lipstick in Rebel Ruby
Beauty Pie Pro Gel liner in Very Pretty Plum
Beauty Pie Superhealthy moisture lip balm
Beauty Pie Wondercolour nail polish in Go To Girl
Beauty Pie Strobing Stick in Santorini
Beauty Pie Wondercolour Cream Shadow Stick in Goldie
This month (February) I'll commit to buying nothing new and attempting to PP the following:
PP
Benefit Bronzer Hoola Lite
Beauty Pie One Wonder Powder
NYX Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake
NYX Butter Gloss in Cranberry Biscotti
Tarte Amazonian Clay blusher in Paaarty
Beauty Pie Lip Oil in Nude Nectar
Tarte Tartelette Tease palette
Fingers crossed
Welcome. I can only echo what dolly has said. Please don’t be discouraged if progress is slow on your chosen products. An eyeshadow can take anything up to a year to finish depending on the brand formula. Instead of intending to finish an item just make a conscious effort to use it regularly and you’ll see progress before you know it. It may be more motivating to put some skincare items in your list which will be easier to work through.
I have The TArte blush in Paaarty too. It’s a gorgeous colour. XBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Commiserations re your driving test. Bet it was nerve wracking enough today due to the weather conditions. Don’t be too hard on yourself xxBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. 1 UU and 2 ins to record
UU
Next Just Pink Perfume - Love it. I think I’ll stick with it as a daytime perfume once I have used up the rest.
INS
Baylis and Harding Sweet Mandarin and Grapefruit Foot Lotion

So I made it 1 month down and I am dead chuffed with progress. Ok a lot were samples and many of my items are half used but theres literally no point to having so much, it’s takes up space and actually using it does make me feel better. No INs, plenty outs. Next month I probably will only have to buy shampoo.
Total stash has decreased from 291 to 254
Next months PP:
L’Or!al colour correcting cream
2x shower gel (any)
Lacoste body lotion 100ml
Batiste dry shampoo 400ml
Herbal essences shampoo 400ml
Body shop cranberry scrub 300ml
5x samples (any)
Liz Earle cleanser 200g
Lush angels on bare skin scrub 100g
I have lots of make up as well, but I’m fairly overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. If I’m diligent i reckon I could finish a mascara and my wunderbrow too...0 -

What was I thinking??? I'm sure some of this product has been discontinued. Some may have to be TA rather than UU. Not good.0 -

I was going to ask if anyone had been inspired by Marie Kondo’s new show. I don’t have that much stuff in general but it was a good reminder to keep on top of stuff. For me a cluttered house means a cluttered mind.0 -

Surprisingly, I live in the North East, and we've not had much snow, it's only up on the moors and fells that there's snow about. I just had a bit of bad luck, and there wasn't much I could do, it wasn't anything serious or dangerous but they still classed it as a serious fault on my test. But it was quite decent weather for my test. The sun was shining, and although it was cold, the roads were safe to drive on.0 -

You will get there, it took me a few attempts, and although it feels rubbish when you fail, it will happen! Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0
