I was actually very targetted in my sales shopping this time, I made a list before I hit the sales of the items I wanted and sought them out, most items weren't available but some were and there were a few little additions, I've categorised them below.

I've updated my post above...I have to say I bought more when down at my in-laws' place in Devon for Christmas, it was mostly quite an oppressive atmosphere due to the ongoing issue of my MIL's clear mental health issues which she had still refused to address, so we were all walking on eggshells to avoid another temper tamtrum.

Thankfully my OH summoned up the courage to raise it with her properly as we correctly decided that he was the only one she'd really listen to (he's an only child and both myself and my FIL had tried to raise it before and had her shutters slam down), hopefully future visits will be a lot better.

Basically I think I did pretty well in the circumstances!

Thank you for the new thread and happy new year everyone.

I have TA Glam Glow Mud Mask today as it dried out. Not much left of it anyway and one less mask to worry about using up I guess. I liked and used this mask frequently. I have couple of other masks to go through this year. WMBA in the future.

I have tidied part of my stash and again felt overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I have. I will try to make a list to use by spring. I will not buy anything this month and will TA more often than before where I can.

I'm also hoping to save more money this year and spend less (although I hope the same every year I think). I'm a slow but steady Beauty Pie convert now and I am hoping it will help me with that goal. I don't think there was a single product that I didn't like from them.

    Welcome Legittrying.

    First uu of the year

L'oreal Ever Sleek Conditioner 250ml - I really like this and have another in the stash. Tons of other conditioner to use before I think about buying anything.

So I’m right at the start of getting my stash under control but at the end of December I did manage to make a small dent in my products, mostly the half used ones!

Lush Don’t rain on my parade shower gel 250ml WMBA - nice smell but I have the perfume and I prefer that

Lush pink star bath melt WNBA left me a little oily

Various baths: lush bombs guardian of the forest (HG) and Metamorphosis (WPNBA) unicorn horn (HG) and ladybird (HG) and a purple bubble one (WNBA)

Samples: L’Or!al split ends hair cream WNB good for a one off but wouldn’t purchase

Palmers coconut body lotion WPBA smelt lovely and nice on skin.

Aveeno body yoghurt - hated it. So sticky.

Perfume: Lacoste pink WMBA nice but not long lasting

lust sex and the city - used most but TA as went a funny colour

Perfume samples: Dior.... was ok but nothing special and another forgettable one but TA as a bit dried up

Current stash including toiletries, make up and samples is a huge 290 (minus bath bombs!)

    Oh that is shameful

A lot is half used so I’m starting with that but I also want to enjoy this. I haven’t got a strict PP but shower gels and moisturisers are high on there...and I want to start wearing more make up.

    One UU today:

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream 30ml WMBA. This nice but I find myself preferring the Shea version. I used this up quicker than I expected. When I get near to the end of a tube of this, it lasts for ages. But I've finished it :) Going to replace it with one of the ones I received in my Advent Calendar.

WNBA. Was in a set from last Christmas. Used to wash my hands in the end to use it up.

Went into Boots and LUSH today and bought NOTHING 😱😱😱 I’m so proud as Lush had half price stuff still and I didn’t buy anything. I went in for ideas for fragrances for by own bath bombs but I normally come out with £100 worth so I’m really really pleased with myself 😊
