Suffolksue, remember to look after yourself as well as your DH. I’m glad he’s ok.

Brilliant losses, Pollyanna and SIRENS. Well done, AuntyCat.

Good to see you’re back in the groove, Stoke.

As for me, I had a massive 0.2lb loss; that’s right - about a quarter of a pound, ha ha. Oh well, better off than on, and not unexpected. Like Stoke, I’m feeling more ‘up for it’ this week.
Breakfast: scrambled eggs on hexb toast
Lunch: noodles, chicken, sugar snaps, syboes, cherry tomatoes, hm Anzac biscuit (no idea of syns but I only had ½ syn today otherwise)
Dinner: tomato & mixed pepper pasta, jelly (½ syn)

    Snack: hexa cheese & grapes

Any advice on what flavoured yogurts I should spend my syns on?
I want ones that aren’t loaded with sugar - happy to spend a few syns on them & go low fat rather than fat free to get ones not loaded with crap.

I have plain yogurt and add my own flavour.
I use the sugar free syrups from TK Maxx. The type you normally add to coffee.
Other option is the flavours/extracts that are used in baking, although I find a bit of granulated sweetener is needed with them

Weigh in for me tonight. Won't be good but I'm going.

    Today's plan:
Breakfast - bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes
Lunch - jacket potato, beans and salad
Dinner - noodles, chicken and veg

    HAs - milk and cheese
    HB - sesame seeds
Syns - 1 in the sauce on the noodles
    Zebras rock
  • Morning all!

That's a good idea using coffee flavourings in yoghurt, Kathrynha!

    Today:
    B - Banana
D - Beetroot risotto (2), 20g low fat cheese (1/4 HEA), hazelnuts (HEB)
T - Pork chop, airfryer chips, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms
    HEA - Milk and cheese
HEB - Hazelnuts (will check allowance but I normally use 5-6)
    Syns - Sugar (4), risotto (2), hot choc (2) = 8
    Weightloss: 14.5/65lb

No point forcing food down if you're not hungry Stoke.:) Just so long as you're sure you won't get hungry later and eat the wrong thing.

Not sure what you meant by 'syns allowance I get at target'. I suspect these could be enough syns to maintain but if you've gained over Christmas maybe you need to cut back to syns for losing rather than maintaining.

You can stay away from group until you're confident (clothes can be as useful as scales) you're close to your target. Even then you'd have a week to get back into range if you needed it before paying.

Hope you have a good week.:)
So my consultant told me that you were allowed to flexibly add a few more syns on.

Very very good point though. I'm not really at target, so I need to wind that in. However, just two days in and it's already making a difference. I might be back at target within the next 7 days, although I suspect it'll be more likely I'm a pound (two at most above) above.

Some of the Christmas weight is water weight, which goes up and down. However, once you lose that, you'll then be left with the genuine weight you need to lose. So fingers crossed I'm still losing a bit of water weight :)
  • Just had a catchup, well done on the fab losses this week.

Although I could not be good, I tried to be careful when eating out on Saturday & last night, but focusing on being on plan 100% for the remaining days, which I did on Fri & Sun, so will hopefully keep myself covered. I am trying to not syn for the rest of the week in the hope of recouping the over indulgence, but if I have to, there are Muller lights in the fridge, one will keep me happy and at a very low syn.

Remains of the curry I made on Sunday for dinner tonight, ton of speed veg in fridge, so will decide what to have with it when I get home. Forgot to bring something for lunch, but there are apples in the fridge and a box of Alpen light in my desk, this will need to be synned, as I had a toasted roll with scrambled egg for breakfast, but hopefully that will keep me full and I will only need to eat some fruit.

Interesting the comments about social team signing a confidentiality agreement, although I generally take the money, I do weigh if necessary and I have never been asked to sign one. On the other hand, she knows I am an accountant, and as I never retain personal data as a matter of routine, she may have just decided that I am a safe bet!

Off to make a coffee now :)

Same here. I don't eat much yogurt but when I do I have plain 0% Greek with fruit and some sweetener if it's sharp fruit.

Can't help noticing kathrynha that you seem to be having more 'normal' food lately. Have the diet restrictions been relaxed?

DD1 called in yesterday with her LO Christmas chocolates. I had one last night and I'm calling it 3 syns. Would you believe that Black Magic isn't on syns online!:rotfl:

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: either stir fry or omelette (definitely SP)
D: baked cod, SW chips, cauli steak, mushy peas, tomatoes and mushrooms
Syns: 2.5 syrup (and maybe another chocolate;))

I'm in two minds about going to group this week. Part of me thinks I want to give it a miss for a bit and try something else (either nutracheck) or a combination of nutracheck / sw from home.

I have thought about sw online membership but I'm not sure I'll have the commitment to stick to it.

Part of me wonders if I should still go to group to weigh but not bother with the image therapy. I do know the plan so this isn't (staying to group and the going round the room bit) so important to me for the time being but it seems a bit daft to pay £4.95 just to weigh and run. What would you do?

I haven't joined any groups apart from here....I am doing it myself. I'm not sticking to any diet plan. I am eating healthier foods and giving myself smaller portions. I exercise everyday by taking the dog out for an hour each day walking briskly and doing a bit of running and rowing. Going to build this up slowly.

I am thankful of all the support I get here from everyone and knowing that I will give my losses/gains each week keeps me fairly on track.

May not be the way for everyone but this works for me and I think we have to find what works best in each individual circumstances.

I tell myself if I fall one day, get back up the next day.

    You're all amazing people.

    Just don't give up. :)
