  • OH took me to get flowers and a card for a neighbour who has invited us for a drink this evening - I found out that it isn't just a new year's eve drink, it is her birthday too. We shan't be staying to see the year in, I'm normally in bed long before then.

We've just had a very healthful lunch of smelly cheese and biscuits and I've had my first taste of chocolate from Christmas.

Gers, I am thinking of your mum.

do, thinking of your daughter. I didn't have pre-eclampsia but had all kinds of problems in pregnancy and my DS was born very early, had to wear doll's clothes.

Sitting room a bit tidier (not much) and the floor needs hoovering.

Such a grey day here, am hoping for a brighter one tomorrow but fear I may be doomed to disappointment.

Cranky are your trauma teddies for your local police service? I am on my 13th but for Edinburgh, a friend has requested them. Once I get above 14, I might ask our local service if they'd like some.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Afternoon everyone

Thanks for all the kind thoughts re mum, unfortunately you just have to get on with it x

Lainey - sorry to hear you've been so poorly, cranberry juice is very good for UTI's so may be worth investing in a carton or 2.

Now chilling, having been out and about all morning - running errands that took far too long, as everywhere was rammed, stood in a queue in the bank for ages and then couldn't do what we needed so had to go back again. Grr! Got sorted in the end though.

Have a good afternoon and remainder of 2018 x

    Keep safe and well x

  • Just a quick pop back on from me. I decided to take DD up on her offer to pick me up after the panto so I will be going down to hers later. Yet another hurdle for me to get over thinking over the last traumatic year and I know I will face it better with my family by my side as they have been throughout.

I have sorted through my naughty stocks of food and most of the remaining sweet stuff has been stowed out of harms way in the freezer. Little party goodies have come out of the freezer and are going down to DD's with me. By tomorrow I don't want any highly calorific temptations left in the house! Time to address the weight that has sneaked on over the last month or two with all the comfort eating.

To all my friends on here I wish you all the very best for the New Year especially those undergoing treatment and ops and I hope the problems and worries a lot of you are facing are eased. I'll be thinking of every one of you xx

Afternoon all,I know I'm late.Been shopping for bread and a few bits ready for our friends coming., and then a big tidy. This will be the last time we see them for a few months as they are back to their home in Spain in a couple of days.

We went to see my DB 1 yesterday afternoon after DH took me out for lunch, and I spoke to my other DB today to see how his DP is.She had norovirus on Boxing Day,then on Thursday they came to collect DBs car (left here on C day). On the way home someone ran into the back of her and the car is written off. She is ok but her neck is pretty sore and she was a bit shaken up too.

I think DSons are staying in tonight, still tired from Sat nights boozy do :D There have already been some fireworks here,Ly1a was outside and she shot in quickly. She's had some pills & due some more later.

I hope everyone has the NYE they prefer, and that 2019 will be kind.Thinking of those people with problems and hope that it gets better for you.xxx

Popping in to wish all the lovely people on this thread best wishes for 2019.
Hoping it is everything you want it to be. I’m working tomorrow so may not make midnight tonight.
  • I wanted to pop on and wish everyone a happy new year, health, love, happiness and wealth.

I am rather enjoying being at home from travelling all around. I thought I would do a quick tidy but it turned intoa full on vax everything in sight - twice.

I remembered to check in the greenhouse at a plant that is managing to grow, but I'm not sure it's what I am expecting ops..:rotfl:

We will be seeing in the new year via the tv, something bad to eat and small cold glass of baileys.

New years is drop a dress size via 2 exercise classes a week, and I am hoping to learn sign language.
  • Happy, Healthier & Prosperous New Year to all OS posters. May 2019 be a good year for us all :D

Hi Chums I don't know whether to say good night or good morning as I have just got home and am now thankfully back in my own bed after all the too-ing and fro-ing.
Happy ,if belated New Year to you all, and I am now going to have hopefully a really nice nights sleep (what's left of it :))

Almost coming in with the milk :) haven't done that for many a year :):) Great night out though now I shall sleep :):):)
