A bit off topic, but I wonder if you will find that the bank says 'up to' 3 working days, and if whoever you'd given the cheque to managed to pay it in on Wednesday? And if they bank at the same branch as you, it might go through faster?

But you could query it with the bank, you have nothing to lose ...

I used to enjoy claiming at 500 points insread of waiting for 1,000.
