You make your own luck, how was this unlucky?0 -
The date of fixed penalties on your licence is the date of the offence.
If you don't tell them, and they did need to know, all hell will descend if and when they discover the truth.
All hell descending, I'm worried now. I've cordoned off the car and the wife and kids are staying at the in laws to avoid the impending Armageddon when my insurance company find out I had 3 points 4 3/4 years ago and not 5.

The worst situation is that they cancel the policy (which you have to declare indefinitely), and hand you the bill for what they paid out on the claim, while you deal with a driving-whilst-uninsured prosecution...
And all because you'd like to think that 4yrs and 5mo is the same difference as 5yrs...0 -
Well, if they find out in the course of a claim, then the best situation is that they reduce the payout according to the amount of premium you've underpayed.

Yes but to be honest with all the trouble in the world dont you think saying 'all hell descending' is a bit over the top?
In my example I said 4 3/4 years, 3/4 of a year is 9 months, not 5.
Please get it right or all hell will descend

Renewal due May 2019, points in December 2014?
You missed off my 'Happy New Year' in the quote, and you didn't wish me the same?
