Morning all
My cough has broken but I still feel dreadful, never mind it will pass at some point.
Dad is coming to lunch but I'm not doing a Sunday roast, just cold meats - pork and turkey with chips and peas. There's plenty of cheese and biscuits left over and Xmas pudding/ mince pie and cream for tea.
Mr Fix It will run the hoover over the downstairs in a bit, he's gaming with DGS at the moment :rotfl:. Nothing new there !
I need to tidy off the dining table, it's groaning under items that haven't been put away in their proper place yet. Naughty nan ! don't put it down - put it away ! Why don't I listen to my own advice .
Anyway I hope you all have a good Sunday.
Take care and the hug bucket has been replenished, so please help yourself.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

Morning all
Mild day here again so I have washed the throws from the sofa and will get them on the line for a while today to try and dry them off.
I had a terrible nights sleep which is very unusual for me I was still awake at 4,30 this morning, the dog was really unsettled all night and kept wandering round she barked the place down at 3 and I woke OH and told him I thought there was someone outside and he replied 'yes' and went back to sleep :rotfl:so I got up and turned all the lights on and sat for a while and then went back to bed, I might need a nana nap later on !
Going to sort out my larder cupboards today they have got into a bit of a mess might also make some soup with the bendy veg and I need to cut the turkey and freeze it.
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all,
It feels like the 1st post I've done for nearly a week - trouble is when everyone is at home and DGC,it's a struggle to find the laptop free. Its a miserable day here, grey and wet,not cold though.DH lit the log burner last night for the 'ambience,'I nearly passed out with the heat and had to go and sit in the kitchen for a bit
We have a rare dgc free day today so def a chill day.DSons went on their annual boozy afternoon/night out with an group of old friends. They were actually pretty quiet coming home at 2.30.DS2 has been foraging in the kitchen and gone back to his basement ,no sign of DS1,he doesnt go out drinking very often so his tolerance is less. Not sure if they'll want a full meal later, probably not. I'll just do some steak, then they can have theirs tomorrow if need be.We have friends coming round for NYE so not cooking at teatime but a buffet for later.
I had a quick trip to town on Friday, swapped a shirt I got for DS which was the wrong size & got 3 tops in a clearance sale at Debs, 2 for everyday (badly needed) and a dressier one which I'll wear tomorrow.
Yesterday I sorted through the DGC toy cupboard and put quite a few in a CS bag,in order to find space for the new stuff.I'll need a tidy tomorrow before our friends come round.
I'll need to try and lose some weight in the NY too,my clothes are getting too tight
Sending hugs to those in need xxx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
BTDT I read the Kondo book, but it really irritated me beyond belief.I can't imagine me ever saying goodbye to my knickers n bras :rotfl: Must admit I'm a bit of a messy (but clean) mare though"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I briefly looked at the thread.....

:rotfl::rotfl: I haven't even looked. I know where all my stuff is and it's tidy so I don't feel the need to get rid just yet. What I am doing is not buying any more as stuff gets too big or wears out. That makes more financial sense to me.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Late posting today, we had our usual Sunday breakfast and then got up and ventured into town to Wilkinson. I ended up spending £36:eek:
Home to a cup of tea. I took a part baked wholemeal baton out of the freezer, will cook it and stuff half of it with cheese and tomato relish. There is fruit to eat up.
I have tipped out the laundry basket, all clothes taken off tonight are to go in it and for once I will set the timer so the wash is finished when we get up, if its fine it will go on the line. Tomorrow will be a bit busy.:D
We are having the last of the turkey for supper with roast veg and the last of the creme brulee for dessert0 -
I missed you too Organza Lace :A. TBH I thought things might had come to a head re the men over the Christmas period and we would have people coming round to yours to dig up the patio

Hello, I'm a bit late today though I've been up since 3. I may have a shirt nap before I cook a chicken. I asked DS if he'd like stuffing or yorkshires and he has asked for stuffing.
Nothing special going on here, though I'm getting a bit ratty about the Untidiness of a Certain Person. Yet more assisting the migration of the sweetie wrappers required this morning.
Another dull day, chillyish but not really cold, no heating on so far today though will need some to air washing in a bit.
Hope today goes well for everyone, nearly next year!I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0
