I would have been less over the top if PayPal would actually open the dispute, but apparently, they're unable to.
The orders (two separate ones) don't appear on my HoF order history either.
There's no evidence but that PayPal email that the order even happened.

Without Mike Ashley HOF would have gone bust as he bought them out of administration when nobody else was interested and all stores were closing down. I would therefore say he is hardly driving HOF into the ground. They were finished without him.

Debenhams will go bust in the first couple of months of 2019 at which point he will buy them out as well.

Mirth aside, I don't relate to your post. I relate to why Newcastle United fans hate Ashley (and why some would make a post in the same manner as yours, despite thinking it is a bit heavy-handed), but not so much anyone who is referring to Sports Direct and MORE SO not anyone who speaks about his recent acquisitions like HoF.


Just deal with it like it were any other retailer.

When you say "apparently they're unable to [open a dispute]" what do you mean?

Have you tried to ring them quoting the transaction number in your email?

I agree that doesn't make sense. If payment doesn't show in transaction history then perhaps the order was never paid and therefore doesn't exist?

OP if nothing shows in your PayPal and your balance is unchanged then it's fine, you haven't ordered anything.

I've had similar, I have had paypal awaiting authorisation from an order I put into Holland & Barrett on the 23rd, but no online order number from HB. I have emailed them this weekend querying if they have received my order. I am not moaning and groaning, just contacted them and will await their reply.

I’m not quite sure why you are overreacting to this extent.
Just ring HoF and ask them if the order went through, and if not tell PayPal you havn’t had the items and they’ll refund you
