I just went for a short walk today as it is very windy out there.
I am now sitting with a hair treatment on and tonight I'm going to do a face mask and bath with body lotion on afterwards.
I have booked my ear candling for tomorrow at midday so that will be a nice treat. I find it quite relaxing.
I used to get regular reflexology at the Chinese herbalists too but think I need to see a chiropodist before I go there!:rotfl:0 -
seven-day-weekend wrote: »I think it is true, as people who smoke have receding gums, which makes it harder for the implants to 'take'. My ex-next door neighbour had receding gums through smoking. She had gum disease and had to have all her teeth removed. She wanted implants but it would have run to 1000s, which she just hadn't got.
She also had the beginnings of COPD, but I'm glad to say that as she quit smoking as soon as she knew, that has not got any worse.
I haven't smoked for nearly 30 years, I am so glad, I had a smoker's cough (which of course now would be called the beginnings of COPD!) even then, I probably would have been on constant oxygen by now, if not dead. My lung function came up fine on my recent health screening.
I don't take credit for giving up, I had prayer and the addiction was taken away which enabled me to not start again. I know not everyone believes in prayer, that is fine, but that is how it worked for me
I've never smoked or drunk alcohol, boys and chocolate were my vices by choice :rotfl:not much chance with the boys now but I still like my chocolate.0 -
Hi Moll, yes my daughter loves it and finds it makes a great difference, I really should try to use it myself. I used to have brilliant white teeth but age and years of smoking have taken their toll, I stopped smoking 5 months ago so perhaps now is the time. Looking to cut down my caffine intake as well, so will try to up my water intake, I'm so bad at this. I was having warm water with a slice of lemon in the mornings which is supposed to be beneficial in all sorts of ways, not good at sticking to things at all.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
Well except mastered my mortgage 5 yrs early :T:j

Ooh ear candling and reflexology .....I could so do with something like that, right now. I am shattered and really sore and stiff. I have really struggled with that back bedroom......I am just having a break. I'm so fed up with it.
I couldn't decide what I could part with and what I needed to keep....paperwork, electronic stuff, gadgets and cables. I haven't a clue what half of it is. A lot of it is my sons. So for now I've just grouped things together and put them into storage boxes which fit onto the shelving unit. That will have to do for now. I can go through them One at a time, and I will get my son to go through all his stuff too. At least I've cleared the floor space so can set up a couple of pieces of gym equipment. And at least I now know where everything is.
There are also boxes of cables in the loft, again I've no idea what they are for ....I have all his tools, photography equipment, guitars and god knows what else up there not to mention his blasted fish tanks and fish paraphernalia in the shed.
I've told him it has to go this year....I'll look after his tools and guitars and photography stuff but the fish stuff has to go....:rotfl:
Anyway I've had enough for today. I'll just have a quick hoover round and I'm done. Still I have filled another two bags for the chazzer for tomorrow so not all bad.
Tomorrow I have a dentist appt. and on Tuesday I'm having my hair cut. Friday is acupuncture. I would love a massage to ease my aches and pains but don't really have time this week so I'll try and book one for next week. I have ran out of Epsom salts too. Must get some in. A soak in a mineral salt bath does help.
Btw. When I was sorted through my wardrobe I found two nice dresses I'd forgotten I even had. Shameful :rotfl::rotfl:
Okaaaaay..quick hoover and tidy and then get that yoga mat out before I completely run out of steam.0 -
Humpty no swimming I'm afraid. My physio says I do it wrong and make matters worse.
i thought about swimming , dont have anyone to go with at the moment , but it is a sport you can easily do alone , Cant swim for awhile , as believe it or not , i had Grommits fitted before christmas and you have to keep the ears dry , I thought only kids had it done , me i wait till im in my 60's , just lucky i guess lol I go to hospital tomorrow to have my first check up to see if its done any good .
make it look more like a chalet. A bit of insulation and a space heater and it should be ok.
That sounds like it could be made to look beautiful , and a real feature as well as being functional
Omelette for brunch. Got a homemade chicken curry in the slow cooker, cauliflower rice and then a mango for a treat. Creamy curry so definitely more than 500 calories today, even though I will only be having two meals. :rotfl:
so far , ive just had some sweetcorn for a snack ( Love it and its so easy to cook ) and a small meal of bacon , egg, mushrooms, beans and a tomato on it , so still got plenty i can have today , Evening sweet munchies are my danger times . ( think i need to go to bed at 5pm lol ) but done a SW overnight oats for later . really nice and hits the sweet spot
Summer. Yes if we stay focussed we should see a big difference by then, My birthday is July 6th. .....could I lose 2 stone by then. It would be nice.
I'll make that my target.:D[/QUOTE]
My birthday is March 27th , so like a midway to your birthday . Lets use that as a mid range focus on date to aim for , and then onwards to your birthday , what do you think ? ( I need to lose 2 stone )
On the fabbing front ive put cream on my hands and face , and have a lovely warm bubble bath waiting for me for later xx0 -
LL if he doesn't collect them, sell the fish tanks :rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I’m an ex smoker, I quit almost a year and a half ago for multiple reasons. I felt like someone had died when I quit. It was like losing a friend lol one who wasn’t very good to me. I would never go back.0

Moll.....March 27th. Yes it's about half way isn't it. Ok put me diwn for 1 stone.
Well done to all you ex smokers.0 -
I smoked a little when I was a teenager and I (stupidly!) started smoking again when I was in my thirties. I stopped after my Mum had a heart attack quite young in her early fifties. It was about 11 years ago now that I stopped. I actually found it quite difficult considering I didn't smoke all that much!:mad:2025 GOALS
