Same as a bank robber complaining because someone robbed the bank before they did?
    or...
A drug dealer complaining because someone else is selling drugs for less money?

Neither of the sellers should be advertising the goods it seems.

Double standards? Its OK to illegally sell a fake product, but not OK for another seller to sell that illegal product because you thought of it first?

  • How does that make sense?
    Im neither those.

My friend was a customer of one of them and got no item basically as it didn’t exist. We are still waiting to see if the refund clears via PayPal. I nearly was a customer but only tend to buy online from companies like amazon but nearly went for this as saw loads of likes and comments with no bad reviews.

I had thought I might be able to get advice on how to stop others being scammed from the fb fake advert leading to a website but apparently not....
  • Maybe I shouldn’t care and just leave others to get scammed like my friend did, but actually I don’t want others to get scammed if there’s a way to stop it.

The original creator / seller also doesn’t care and seems quite happy to let people bring scammed despite the fact they could get the fb advert pulled.

As this was an unlicensed item you knew before you bought that the company was dodgy. So the way to avoid being scammed is to not buy from a company that you already know to be crooked.

Facebook are full of them, I belong to a lot of fan groups and we are always sending complaints in to Facebook about dodgy sellers advertising 'Dr Who' sweatshirts or Discworld tote bags. Discworld rights in particular are owned by a company called Narrativia and they are highly litigious and if you send them these details they will take action. So if you seriously want to help save other people then start notifying Facebook and the rights owners - get these people persued legally and taken down.

But the original seller ( the one selling the fake items also )? Does not hold the rights to sell the product either.

They don't have the authority from the genuine rights holder.
Contact the genuine rights owner and get both sellers banned.
