Jamaica all inclusive

Hi guys. A belated merry Christmas and a early HNY.
I've never been to JA or to a destination that pushes the use of the US dollar. In short, I know areas that want payment in US $ are usually rip off prices . Also if you pay on card, you'll get hit with two exchange fees. Stirling to Jamaican to US. So I'd obviously insist on paying in Jamaican from card.
My main question, would I be better changing a small amount of pocket cash for hotel non inclusives in Jamaican currency rather than US dollar ?
Thanks in advance ✌️

I don't think that can happen.billybonds4 wrote: »Also if you pay on card, you'll get hit with two exchange fees. Stirling to Jamaican to US.
Forget about cash US dollars, pay by card if you're in a resort or bar that takes payment only in USD.
Obtain any cash J$ that you might need from an ATM. If you don't already have suitable 'travel' cards that convert your pounds at the ideal rate without fees, see the MSE articles for info.Evolution, not revolution0
