Transferring husband's debt to my card?

To be fair, I think many BT deals also carry a fee though I agree you tend to get better deals on BTs. Presumably they are seen as lower risk.
At the moment I have two deals on existing cards. 30 months on MBNA. BT is 3.5% fee, MT is 4% fee.
On Barclaycard I have a deal for just over year (can't remember the details). The fee is 1.95% for both MT and BT - so the same.
New customer deals are usually better (though you may get less limit than on existing cards).0 -

Presumably because the OP can get a better deal than hubby? Love?pennystretcher wrote: »Be careful on getting your credit score lowered by someone else's debts, even if it is your husband.
Well no such thing as a single score. But personally I would never let the credit rating tail wag the borrowing dog. If my present rating allows me (or my family) to take a 0% deal to save some money, then I would always do that - even if the rating takes a hit for a bit. The rating isn't an end in itself.
In fact, by taking on more debt and handling it properly, a lender's view of the OP might actually improve.0
