Amazon firestick - do I need another TV service?

Happy New Year everyone - I wonder if the more technical amongst you can help me please?

Currently I am with Virgin for my TV, Broadband and phone line.

I am paying £52 for the basic package and desperate to reduce this. We really don't watch anything much outside of the BBC and itv/ch4! I use the series record on the Virgin box but guess I could learn to live without that

I have got an Amazon firestick for Xmas...do I still need to subscribe to Virgin - or anyone else for tv services?

Could I just get an internet only package?

We don't have an extremal TV arial.

Thank you in advance for any help which would be MUCH appreciated :)

Firestick can give you BBC and ITV Catchup content via the internet .
If you are out of VM contract then hand in your notice and see what is offered.

For the whole hog on Amazon Fire TV Stick you need to subscribe to Amazon Prime. You only need Internet for the Fire TV stick. For regular tv channels you can use the Fire TV app, "TV Player" which is free and there is a premium upgrade if you want the premium channels.

A little known fact is that you can cast to the Amazon Prime Stick from Youtube on Android if you also have the Youtube app installed on the Fire TV Stick.
