This has to be one of the best freebies i have ever had .
PLEASE NOTE that although the site says that the free box offer has come to an end you should still get one if your quick (It said that when i joined )
Direct yourself to http://www.teletextextra.co.uk/register.aspx and sign up . Make sure you don't tell them you have a freeview box (if you have one already ) . You should receive an e-mail asking you for confirmation that you want to join the teletext extra user panel and would like a free box. You will then receive an email giving you your user number and be told that a box has been sent .

The only snag that may put some people off is that in exchange for £50 worth of free marks and spencer vouchers they would like you to send them a standard rate text each week to help them make teletext better .
I can't see anything in the terms and conditions stating that you must send these texts . I believe that the only thing you loose if you don't text would be the vouchers

The freeview box that you will receive is an alba STB8 you can view it here http://www.quick2view.co.uk/index.htm . It may not be the most expensive box , because its FREE

I ordered mine on Monday 12TH NOV and got it in the post on Tuesday 13TH NOV(didn't even have to sign for it) . I had a mate in for a cup of tea when it came , so he wanted one too .
Ordered it Tuesday he got it on Wednesday 14TH NOV . I then met a mate on the bus , he ordered one on Wednesday 14th and got it on Thursday 15th. Hopefully if you try this today you'll get yours tomorrow .

i'm not having a go or anythin, but replace the site with amazon.de and 'freeview box' with wii and we have a carbon copy of about 6 million posts in the big wii thread.

Oh , i didn't realize that this offer had already been posted . I did search teletext and freeview but didn't find it. So is that it over or are the teletexty peeps just saying that the offer is over because of huge demand . I guess that most people wouldn't bother signing up if the thought they we not getting a box.

Ahh i know why i didn't find the offer now , i have been searching the main site and not the forums .

I posted in another thread about this and the offer is still apparently on. I applied on Tuesday night by filling in the form. Got an e-mail on Wednesday asking if I still wanted to participate and if I did to e-mail them my name, address, landline and mobile phone numbers. I did this and also said I'd only participate if a box was provided. I got an e-mail back late afternoon on Wednesday saying they would provide the box and I was part of the user panel so, as far as I am concerned, this offer is still on.
