Monday has been rain, rain & yet more rain :( Started at 11:00 p.m. Sunday night & apart from 75 mins from 17:45 to 19:00 it has rained non stop ALL day. Heavy downpours interspersed with light drizzle  Looking on the bright side the garden has had a good watering & it didn’t stop the Fox turning up for her evening meal :rotfl:
DH has done some work on the gear change on the bike but had to order a couple more bits :( DSis spent most of the day in her room either asleep or watching TV - apart from meal times :rotfl: I used up lo rice - reheated in wok, lo mash & mixed vegetables made into cakes & fried + fried bacon for lunch. Dinner was Snorkers (sausages for those who do not read BoP’s posts :rotfl:) with mash & baked beans. I managed to empty a box - various bits put in shed or garage & have been clearing down my planner :p so a very lazy day :p

1719 - 1729 Two Cardboard boxes, 2 Food tins, 2 milk cartons, plastic takeaway box & lid, paperwork, cardboard packaging, plastic pot - Recycled
1730 - 1732 Polystyrene packaging, plastic packaging, bag of kitchen detritus - Binned

Well Done on all that decluttering Cazzatheclutterbug :T people visiting is always a great incentive :rotfl: Fancy losing the receipts for the kiddiwinks :rotfl: Well Done on the decorating - sounds like your bedroom will become a haven - don’t forget the loft ck on the door ;)

TamsinC - I know my raison d’etre should be decluttering but I much prefer cheerleading :rotfl: Already through the 100 barrier - Well Done :T & the new floor sounds great :)

Kurrpa, what a great idea - then not only do you get to declutter the item but also the label :T

Barny1979, running medals - do tell :) nosey peeps want to to know :rotfl:

I really need to get back into a proper decluttering mindset ;) - I really must get back to writing ‘To Do’ lists again :p

    See you tomorrow

It's been almost a month since I last posted. I hope everyone has been in good form.

Preoccupied by DS taking his "A-Levels" then had a blissful 3 weeks in Spain. While I was there I enjoyed being in a really uncluttered environment in my holiday apartment - it was so freeing to have so little possessions around me - I could think so much more clearly !! So I have come back with renewed decluttering energy.

    270. 1 1/2 lb - decluttered on holiday from the walking and swimming :)
    271. DS decluttered from school - thank goodness - there were some points in the last year that I was was not optimistic that he would make it to the end - phew!!!

Tuesday was so much nicer weather wise :D Stayed dry & reasonably warm until about 8:00 p.m. then the rain started & has rained on & off for the last 3 hours - at least I don’t have to water the garden :T The gear lever piece that DH ordered yesterday afternoon arrived today - so DH repaired the bike :T He also gave the bike a hose down. I then helped DH with a bit of garage tidying - he doesn’t seem to put tools away after he has finished working ;) a man thing I think :rotfl: DH had a sausage sandwich for lunch & I made DSis a bacon sandwich. Dinner was bolognese sauce (from freezer) with added mushrooms on rigatoni - very tasty & freed some space in a freezer :T Pottered a bit but still no proper decluttering :o

1733 - 1741 Small Cardboard box, 2 circular plastic pot & lids, 0.5” paperwork, cardboard packaging, 3 magazines, drinks tin - Recycled
1742 Bag of kitchen detritus - Binned

Well Done villagelife - still turfing items out :T

Picklepot, Think of all that decluttering when each room is decorated & only items that belong in a specific room are returned :D;)

Belated birthday greetings savvy :bdaycake: sounds like you had a good time - hic ;)

Well Done choille :T I agree with short_bird - I am a big fan of stick up lights! they work a treat in an Understairs Cupboard :D

Well Done on the decluttering Barny1979 :T Re the running medals - are they yours & if so were you a sprinter, middle distance or long distance?

Well Done Gem-gem :T The only trouble is that it always takes soooo long to use up smellies & hygiene stashes :(

Great work somerandom :T especially the 1.5 lbs decluttered on holiday :T - Gold Star ⭐️ for you :D I always put weight on :o Make the most of your renewed decluttering energy :rotfl:

    Good work TamsinC !

I'm back after a week or two of being busy - though not busy decluttering. I've just got rid of a neat 50 pieces of paper, four catalogues, a damaged white board and three fridge items. That takes what was 718 items to 776.
I also did some decluttering at my Mum's house which I'm still trying to clear: 2 erasers, four pens/pencils, a broken ornament, two pieces of packaging, 2 books and a catalogue, some ancient hazelnuts, 6 pairs of tights, a bit of fabric that had been a tie on a dress, 2 paper clips, a broken candlestick, some ear drops, a random block of wood, staples without a stapler, 6 pieces of paper, 2 gift tags, 2 plastic lids, 2 belts and a pair of socks.
New total 815. A few still to go but it's given me a boost.

Morning i am trying to do the same but cant seem to stop myself getting more when i get it on cashback or rtc.I do give a fair bit away to my children to save them money .
I love the fact that i have now found a local lady that collects items to raise money for a local school by sending them to Terracycle. So all my shampoo/conditioner washing up liquid lids,Crisp packets the list could go on all go to her.My rubbish bag for landfill is now non exisitent.( i give all other plastic back to Morrisons ):)

I love that you do this. No Morries near me but Tesco generates a huge amount of unnecessary plastic. (I try to buy unwrapped where possible). Do you just bundle it up and hand it to Customer Services, or do they have a collection point?
