A second CC for current Barclaycard customers
Comments
-
I called them and they said that categorically you could only have one Barclaycard and I was not eligible to apply for a second0
-
As !!! said it probably depends on individual circumstances if Barclaycard allows to get a second card.0

It's not a permanent policy, it comes and goes from time to time.0 -
I have often wondered why they put this restriction on - what is the marketing strategy for Turning Away customers?0
-
I've just called them and been told that you are not allowed to have a second card.0
-
It's on their website too:
We’re sorry, if you already have another credit card provided by us (which may be one of our partner cards), we’re unable to accept applications for a further card. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. May I move the focus on to the Barclaycard Platinum Cashback Plus card please ?

MSE are currently flagging this up as top choice for foreign holiday use.
It's clear on the no fees for cash at ATMs abroad - but no mention of interest being added, or not, if used for currency.
We have the earlier issue Barclaycard Platinum Travel Card which has no fees or interest for hole in the wall usage as long as the balance is paid at the next statement payment due.
The Cashback Plus extends the no fees until August 2023, a year beyond the Travel Card - just wondered if it were worth applying for ?
UPDATE - Ignore the above. There is no interest (or ATM fees) to pay if the whole balance is settled by the payment due date on the next monthly statement.
