Hello all :A
I hope everyone had a good Xmas and a big hug for those that didn't.
We had a really lovely time but it was very busy. We were 7 for Christmas day and 6 for boxing day plus Jasper the hoover, then DD and the DGC also stayed over last night and they have now gone home. Even Dad was on his best behaviour and thanked me several times.
The house now looks like a bombs gone off ! The only thing I have done is put the Xmas table cloth in the WM as Mr Fix It decided it would look better covered in curry. The poor DW has been on, and on and on . I think it is the only thing that has worked harder than me :rotfl:.
The fridge and cupboards are still at bursting point, even though we have eaten well. I'll have a sort out tomorrow as I'm now stapled to the sofa with my feet up. We have White Christmas ( film ) on in the background, it's one of our favs but we haven't had time to watch until now.
DD bought Mr fix It an " Alexa " so I've been replaced, but she still can't make the tea :rotfl:. ( doing my head in though as DGS had one too so they are calling each other, talking about gaming  ). I had from DD, among other things, tickets to go to see Joseph and his amazing coat in Cardiff, in May :j. I'm looking forward to that as I love a stage show.
Right I think some lunch is in order but it will be a pick and mix, I am refusing to cook anything today, so there can't make me ( stamps foot ! ).
Nelski sorry I missed your send off. If you have wifi I hope you have a lovely time.
Take care all. I shall send healing vibes to the poorly people, positive vibes to the sad or distressed and hugs to all.

Good afternoon everyone:) & thanks for starting us off BTDT :T
Boxing Day was lovely - DH’s niece’s husband came & picked the 3 of us up. Lunch was hm soup with the hm focaccia, followed by cold cuts with baked potatoes & salady bits. Then Christmas pudding with brandy cream for aftersLots of alcohol was imbibed :rotfl: Even had Christmas crackers :T Lots of laughter & chat plus my DH had drunk enough to tell his joke about Pierre the famous French fighter pilot in a full Kenny Everett French accent :rotfl: The older family members :rotfl: but the 2 youngsters 19 & 22 were not amused
Tea/supper was a cold buffet with hm cupcakes (compliments of DH’s great niece :T)
My DSis has been folded into the family - quite good really as DH & I have been together almost 30 years & this is the 1st time my DSis has met any of my DH’s family
We all went to bed before midnightGood night’s sleep.
By rights DH should have woken up with a hangover but he didn’t
Had bacon sandwiches for breakfast then DH & DSis were taken by DH’s niece & her DH to look at cars. Fortunately, although they found a car that they would both like to drive, they did not buy :rotfl:
Just had sandwiches for lunch & we are shortly off to visit DH’s great niece & her DH & the 6 month old great great nephew:D Then we are being driven home :T
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the festive season.

Evening all,
Another mild day here, omelettes for all for breakfast courtesy of DS1, he even brought the eggs from his free range chickens.
The house is now almost empty......just OH, Mossy and me.....DS1 and DDIL gone home to Cork, DS2 left to airport heading for Northern Japan to join his partner and her parents for 10 days, DD3, DSIL and DGD7 gone to Kerry..
I am hoping to be able to resist some of the chocolate which has been left lying around.....have to keep everything out of Mossys way too......chocolate oranges are his favourite!
Trust that everybody is feeling the peace and love that Christmas is all !bout.Weight 08 February 86kg0 -
Hi everyone....just been reading back and catching up. We had a nice Christmas Day....quiet though as we were all adults, apart from a visit from my great nephew before lunch. It was a really nice day. Boxing Day - a visit to the Next sale where I spent my Christmas voucher from my mam and dad and bought two new jumpers and eldest DD bought 3 jumpers. Then coffee at my mam and dad's and then a visit to my brother's in the afternoon. Today eldest DD and I have been for lunch with friends and then had a look round the shops...I found some tiny baby clothes in the sales in Boots and Asda. DD has plenty of newborn clothes but it seems likely she is going to need really small ones as baby's arrival could be imminent!
She goes for another scan tomorrow to check if baby has grown since last week....if not she may be booked in for a caesarean next week. She is just 29 weeks so it's all quite worrying. going to make us a salad for tea,,,,we seem to have eaten far too much the last few days!0 -
*waves from sofa* Having to use onscreen keyboard + mouse so typing takes ages.
Hoping flare subsides by Saturday as we have 2 Whippets coming .If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
